I've been a loyal Staters customer since it came to Van Buren, and just want to highlight/commend the fantastic staff and service here! I'm always greeted by multiple employees while browsing the store, and the friendly staff help create an enjoyable experience. Thank you for your service to the community!

I've been coming to this store since I was a little kid and it didn't used to be the way it is now. The hiring staff doesn't dig deep enough when trying to find potential hires because 2 individuals ( one being the cart boy and bagger named Gavin) and the other is a cashier that work in mainly one line which is #1. They have spread rumors at their workplace about me and my mother and continue to harass us whenever we are in the store. I live 2 miles down the road from them and would much rather travel a distance to go to the one on magnolia. Since my last visit there, Gavin has continued to harass my mother and family whenever we go in there, whispering into other ears causing that individual to act differently around us. This is getting worse as the days go on and I'm officially fed up with this individual named Gavin

This place is a joke!! They never have any help at night. One cashier after 8pm on a Friday night. Who runs this place?! The shelves are always empty. There is never any milk or eggs. The milk section always looks horrible at night. The poor produce girls are always in the checkstand. They need to bring the old managers back. This place is falling a part. Don't waste your time. Just go to the one on Mary St.

I went in there for a quick salad to buy for lunch, because it was on my way to work, and didn't have any options because they only had Cobb salad. So I looked for other healthy options but their selection was poor. Then I headed to the cashier and paid with a $100 bill only to be told that they didnt have change. Unfortunately I had forgotten my wallet that day and had no other option to pay, and they couldn't accommodate. On top of everything, the cashier was very rude and gave me attitude. I find it hard to believe that a multi-million dollar store does not have change. A huge waste of time! Don't go here. They obviously have other bad reviews and have not taken care of issues. Go to Albertson's instead. They have are always stocked and have a friendly accommodating staff.

Had to stop shopping here. Bought ice cream here a couple of weeks ago. After getting home I found that the expiration date had passed nearly two months before. This is not the only problem I've had with this store.

Used to be a great store when James was managing. Now, not so great. Constantly out of all kinds of things. Quit selling certain preferred name brands products (409) so that they can sell their own brand product. Went in today to buy some fresh mushrooms, had very few sliced mushrooms which were all turning brown, had no bananas at all, had no strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries at all. Quit selling other brands small sized pickle relish.and it only serves their brand in small size. After 13 years shopping here I think I will have to start going to the one located at Mary Street and Lincoln Avenue or the nice one in Mission Grove where I believe James is still managing.

Just had a instacart delivery we were charged for (2) Truvia when we received one and charged for Hearts of Romain and they were not delivered plus some other issues. This is an ongoin problem with Stater Bros Canyon Lake. We used Instacart through the Pandemic and this was an ongoing problem when you contact Instacart to resolve issues or get a refund you get no where. From now on we are going to Stater Bros will not use Stater Bros Instacart.

I used to love coming here, but your checker, Lonnie...that lady is horrible. This review comes with years of brushing off her inappropriate comments to both customers and fellow employees. This comes with quite a few years of dealing with her, but ultimately encouraged by how I have seen her treat and talk to others in the last two weeks. It has increasingly become far worse. I'm pretty sure some new people were hired recently, as I had never seen them before. Lonnie is constantly berating them in front of customers at the checkstand...and she doesn't stop. She goes on and on out loud, insulting them instead of helping them. These young people have to put up with such a toxic work environment because of this lady and it's sad that this is probably their first experience in a workplace environment. I've personally have dealt with some borderline racist comments from her that were not provoked by any means. I was appalled. She needs to be re-trained and take some extra courses in customer service, or this location will never be able to retain pillar customers in the community, let alone employees just starting out.

This is my home away from home. I freaking live here. I love this location and MOST of the employees. I just have one issue (FOR NOW) with Lonnie the checker. She can be nice when you catch her in a good mood. But 99% of the time this woman is one unhappy angry human being. Not to mention she judges you for what you purchase. If you're a vegetarian and can't handle meat...DO NOT WORK AT A GROCERY STORE. I do not need to be told you can smell me coming by purchasing meat from your meat market. It was just flat out rude. That was awhile ago now but this morning she never greeted me, never spoke to me and grumbled under her breath the whole time. Mind you, we have never had an issue with each other and basically don't know each other. So this isn't I pissed her off and she dreads me coming into her line. She's just an unhappy person.

Not all but most of the people who work at this location are rude. Especially the cashiers. They barely acknowledge you let alone greet you when you get to the register. Not a place I feel welcomed.

What is going on with the fruit/produce section at this store? I'm so disappointed! The last thing I expect when I spend over $200 at the supermarket is to bring home fruit that is bruised and rotted. I'm deeply saddened and irritated. This is far from the third time I've had this experience which is why I'm now speaking out. I recall one occasion where I spoke to a checker complaining that some of the raspberries and blackberries had mold and was told it was impossible since a lot of the Stater managers lived in the area so they would ensure this store had the best selection. I don't want to be called nor emailed, just want the store to get it together!

Thank You Stater Bros. for reaching out to me. The manager reach out to me about my concerns, I now have a better understanding that Woodcrest Stater Bro is trying hard to satisfy the customers. Some things are even beyond their control. I very satisfied with the explanations given and I will continue to support my local market.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a grocery store in a long time. It was bad enough to make a yelp and leave a review to ensure others are aware of the toxic environment before arrival. I found everything fine as normal, while already being frustrated with my 2 year old daughter, but when it came to check out the cashier (Selena) was completely lacking the customer services skills any employee should have. As someone who works with people all day, you should know not to be short and standoffish especially to people with children/in front of children. My daughter was being a tad bit cranky and I was trying to calm her down. The cashier was just seeming extremely annoyed and trying to get us out as soon as possible. When she asked cash or card the tone was very off putting and disrespectful. I would have given a 1 star but the young man who was bagging for her (Nick) was so attentive and trying to help me calm down my daughter as well. He was a nice refreshment after the complete disaster we had with the cashier. He was a perfect example for what someone in customer service should be like. He even offered to help me to my car, I declined however as I just wanted this horrid experience to end. I probably would return and just avoid Selena as a cashier.
