My mother was not particularly savvy regarding financial matters. My mom made me her first successor trustee in her trust. I needed to get a handle on my mother's finances. I had power of attorney (POA) for my mother's financial dealings. I requested from Delta Bookkeeping & Tax Services my mother's 2019 tax returns. I offered to provide a copy of the POA to Delta Bookkeeping & Tax Services. Despite my willingness to provide the POA, Vicky refused to send me my mother's 2019 tax returns. Vicky replied, "Legally, as far as a professional[sic], I can not nor will I risk my license and practice in disclosing personal and confidential information with anyone, including relatives such as yourself." I was flabbergasted; Vicky was not professional enough to recognize that giving tax returns to someone who had financial POA was perfectly legal. POAs are not an arcane legal matter. It seems like any bookkeeper with average competency would know that.Instead of meeting her legal obligations, Vicky called my mother and misrepresented our interaction to my mother. Vicky misrepresented to my mother that I behaved angrily and awfully. I have an email thread that proves otherwise. Vicky created a panic in my mother. Vicky had my elderly, barely ambulatory mother rush to her office that same day, where she had my mom sign a letter saying that my mom did not authorize the release of her tax documents to her. I mean what malfeasance was I going to engage in by getting a copy of my mom's 2019 tax returns? My mom had previously given me a copy of her 2018 tax returns with no negative repercussions. Also, I provided a POA to my mom's IRA bank and they gave me access to her IRA. I did not make any withdrawals from my mom's IRA.Vicky freaked out unnecessarily, did the wrong thing, and freaked out my mom. There was no effort to resolve the issue professionally and/or amicably. Vicky turned my mom against me. My mom immediately changed her trust to disinherit me. Vicky caused the ruin of the relationship between me and my mom.Vicky may reply that she was just looking out for my mom's best interests, but that defense is weak. If my mom gave me POA, who is Vicky to question that? Furthermore, who is Vicky to react in an unprofessional frenzy, demonize me to my mom, and get my mom to race to her office that same day to sign a legal document during that frenzy? It would have been professional to let their emotions cool and get family members to work things out.Do not use Delta Bookkeeping & Tax Services because, if they are not sophisticated enough to properly handle a financial POA,they likely will screw up other relatively simple things.

I usually always do my taxes myself through turbo tax. This year I decided to go to a professional and I’m so glad I did. I called Delta Bookkeeping to see when I can get an appointment and they were able to see me the same day which was great ! They allowed me to bring my daughter and her Dad with me to my appointment and they were so nice to them both. Vicky was super nice and a very easy person to talk to. We held a conversation with eachother like we were old friends who haven’t seen eachother in years all while she filed my taxes. She also filed my taxes super fast and after she was done we were still having a very friendly conversation. Her husband Dave was the one who dealt with the payments and he was so down to earth. I definitely recommend going to them if you need your taxes filed. They are quick and easy but also two loving people who want to make sure your needs are met for you and your family. I will absolutely being going back as long as I need my taxes done.

I recommend their business to my friends and family. My now adult children had their taxes done with Vicky for their first time. It was a pretty special moment. Thankful for Vicky and Dave.

I been a loyal customer to Delta Booking since the mid 90s. Original owners Wade Hammond and son retired, new owners Vicky and Dave made this business better… they’re knowledgeable, courteous, fair with prices. This is my go to place for tax preparation, I highly recommend their accounting and tax preparation services.
