Apparently their office isn't very good with communication. We have a voucher for 24hrs of respite care. It was sent to them in July I called last week to inquire what's going on this was after my contact at ICRC had spoken with them twice about said voucher. They couldn't find it and I was given an excuse about how many couches they receive etc. They apparently found it and called me on Friday to tell me their scheduling person would call me to schedule and ask me what day I wanted it to start I told them Wednesday No one called me on Friday I called them on Monday after leaving them a message the scheduling person called. Basically they don't have anyone for our area and the only one they have isn't accepting new clients. You would think they could have told us that in the beginning instead of wasting three or four weeks of our time. I contacted ICRC and told them, they were not happy and are now pulling the voucher from here and putting it somewhere else. This place was great in June with the last voucher we had, this time though. I would not recommend this place they don't seem to be very organised.

I worked at this company for 11 months. I truly believe you get what you give. If you give 100% your work will show for you. If you only do partial work — that will also show and you will be held accountable for it. Know that the company is growing and expanding. With that means not everything is perfect. But it is do-able. Communication and documentation is key! Ensure you always cover your end and don’t be afraid to share your thoughts or insights. In my position as a utilization coordinator I ran numbers a lot. I enjoyed my position. My coworkers truly did make the environment fun. I read other reviews but they are from different points of views. My point of view is an on-site staff non-hybrid. However, when it came to scheduling as I did also do scheduling I can say sometimes the employee to consumer ratio can be off. There are many factors to this such as holidays, vacations, caregivers working off schedules, consumers requesting a schedule in which there is a high need for but not enough caregivers available during that time. Upper management have multiple meetings a week. With this means many concerns are brought to their attention in regards to their department — communicate with your supervisor any/all barriers you are facing. But also take the feedback they are giving you and implement it. But don’t be afraid to pitch ideas as well. My last and final thought, the owners… they truly do take time to get to know their employees. They were flexible with me when it came to school and my dogs (I don’t have kids) so when it came to needing to stay home they truly do listen to your needs and try to make something work.

We have used Miss Jessica with Desire for years and she has been wonderful with my daughter! She's so friendly, so helpful, my daughter loves her, and she's just all around kind of awesome! And their office support staff are wonderful as well, Ms Sarahi and Mr Walter are wonderful about helping whenever we had a concern or question.

Talk about Desire health care.I was going though cancer treatment and surgery and I was the only care giver for my D.S. sister with dementia. So I asked for help from my sosters social worker to give me help. A.S.A.PDesire came to my rescue.I started off with 8 hour days Monday thur Friday. And if I needed a weekend off they would even adjust our hours. The ladies were very helpful with showering and dressing her and even making her meals. Attending to all her needs.Thank you for the excellent job. I couldn't be more grateful.Rita Polendey

Thank you DESIRE! They were able to provide care for my Dad even though he was having a tough time paying his bills, not because he didn’t have the money but because we all live outside of California. However, this company was able to provide a means for us to make the payment seamlessly whilst providing great care for my Dad

No-show for our first 3 appts. so far! I have received calls AFTER the missed appts stating they had no employees available in the area. Don't accept the job if you can't provide the service. I will be filing formal complaints re; compliance.

My son hasn’t been seen in months, they don’t call for his services, I wouldn’t recommend this organization to anyone, they don’t even deserve a 1 star but it’s the only way they allow you to post.

This is the Best Company to work for if you love helping Seniors. They provide training and have different classes to help you grow in the field and be a better caregiver/ Respite. They also have employee appreciation incentives, like picnics and holiday parties where they give out gifts of great value and recognition to top notch employees. The staff in the office is very professional and caring for costumers and employees. They value diversity and encourage employees to grow in the company. Walter is my favorite person there, but so is (Ochia the Boss) Without any doubt very kind, caring, compassionate people work here. I have moved on from there for a while now, but will always miss the family I left behind at Desire Home Care.Thank you for being a great place to work for.Rosalba H.

Great customer services. Every time I have questions I would send email to Walter and he is resolving all my problems within an hours. I am really happy that we are making decisions to go with DHC.

Desire Home Care is such a joke as I called and spoken with a Raquel she did not have much information to give me when I called regarding my hours I was transferred over to a Lorena And it just went downhill from there both of them are uneducated ill mannered and very careless when is telling me one thing and the other is telling me something totally opposite every time I schedule a caregiver they cancel at me at the last minute without sending me a replacement I had a very important appointment to attend to had to miss it due to lack of communication on their part with their caregivers and staff member communication among staff members is zero

This company is by far the worst business I've ever dealt with. They never have any caregivers available. Today I am sitting in the pool with my kids enjoying the weather and somebody comes to our door. They sent somebody randomly to my house without even speaking to me to give care to my son. I always do a meet and greet before hiring the person and this person they set them up to come and give care today through Thursday without my knowledge or OK. They wasted that poor girls time and gas money. When I called to see why they did that, they said you were in the system with these days and I said I haven't even talked to you guys in several months and then you just randomly send somebody to my house without talking to me that is not OK and it's very unprofessional. Zero stars for this company.
