Good stuff, good prices, very friendly and helpful staff. I love donating to them, knowing it's going to such a good cause, to the foster families and the care of the animals.

I don't know who I talked to on 10/10/2023 at 12:32, but I called about if you guys could take in my two cats that I am desperately trying to rehome. I tried to explain my situation and she kept assuming I was talking about dogs when I said cats twice. I understand that you guys get calls possibly, about others wanting to just get rid of their animals but not me. It was very insensitive of her to treat me like I was another one of those callers that wanted to dump their animal. My partner and I got scammed out of $4,000 of our money from a house we thought we were going to move into in which we would've been able to keep all of our pets. I dont just have 2 cats. This is my first time ever having to call a shelter and my first experience was that. She even said "well people buy animals and think they can take care of them..." Like what the heck? I was taking very good care of them and we fell under hard times, losing all of our money because we had to move out from the home we were renting...She seemed to be rushing me off the phone, had the tone of someone who just doesn't want to care because she had the assumption I was just telling a lie to give up my animals. No, I am someone who actually have no other choice but to surrender their animals because of something like this happening. I do not have any friends or family who will take my animals in nor any money to save them....the call left me very distressed as they were my babies and to treat me like I was just another human being who didn't care for them...my first experience of calling a rescue was not that great and made me cry afterward as someone who suffers social anxiety, depression and wanted to register my animals as ESA but I found out too late and the process is long..it didn't feel good because it was as if she was trying to rush me off the phone....not everyone wants to surrender their animals, I literally have no choice nor help as my partner has been trying to call everywhere because I didn't want to..its been very hard on me...this was my first time calling a shelter/rescue...Thank you for what you do, but that call did not make me hopeful, especially when she said that " around this time everyone is getting rid of their cats or that cats have a lot of litters..." ...ok... I get the realistic of things, but Jesus, you didn't have to come off like that at a very sensitive time for us...

One of my favorite thrift stores. I get great deals on yarn, fabric, craft supplies and tennis balls for my dogs. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. After being a shopper for many years, I started fostering and have adopted a hamster and two cats. An all around great organization for a fantastic cause.

Great prices. Cool finds. Wonderful organization that rescues shelter animals and take volunteers to help foster pets. They have pets for adoption that you can meet inside the thrift store on some Saturdays!

Foster Army Animal Rescue Thrift Store is a wonderful shop with a "thriftique" vibe. There are both items which could be found in an antique store, as well as some basic items at a bargain price. If you sign up for the email, you are notified what will be on sale the next day. There are pet items for sale, and several days a month there are adoption events. Yes, there is no public restroom but if you ask, the person at the register will direct you to nearby shops which do have public restrooms, including one shop just behind FAAR. Do go in and check out the shop as the proceeds go towards the care of animals rescued from Animal Services.

I ventured into the first Foster Army Animal Rescue Thrift Store years ago. It was the best thing I could have ever done. I have since shopped the store, fostered rescues, adopted from them, and volunteered inside the thrift store, as well as at special events. If you haven't stopped by, I encourage you to do so. Get on the email list. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram. Find out about upcoming sales and special events. Stop by an adoption event and visit with the animals. You don't have to take one home, but you'll probably want to.Don't wait! Stop by for some guilt free shopping. Your purchase helps save lives.

Some of the staff here give off a very unfriendly vibe. The last time I went they refused to let my 3 year old granddaughter use the bathroom even though it was an emergency. I was shocked they were unwilling to help a child.

Very cool place with good finds and exceptionally friendly staff. Also love that the building was once a library and retains some of the original signage and book drop.

Amazing work these beautiful people are doing. I love the variety of items in the store; I found some really awesome book finds. The staff wre so kind and sweet. On Saturdays, they host an adoption event and you can just feel the love and care they have for these beautiful animals.
