Decent prices and reasonable staff.
Not quite as welcoming as some other game stores in the area, but they’ve always been reasonable and polite to me so I have nothing to complain about.
I haven’t played much there, but it’s clear their play space is great for miniatures, but seems only fine for anything else - not bad, but nothing special on that front.
For better or worse, they usually follow TCG player prices closely. This means if you didn’t pre-order and it’s a popular set, they’ll up the price to market value - however high that is - sometimes well above any nearby stores. But on the flip side, if they have product that’s less popular they’ll generally discount it below other local stores to match TCG player prices. If you know what you’re willing to pay for something this works out fine, and I can’t blame them for trying to make money in the fine margins a game store operates, but it’s worth knowing what you’re getting going in.
They do offer more than some of the closest other stores for trade it, but have a bit less selection to spend that trade in credit on. Again, a trade off, but one I’ve been very happy with on many occasions.
I can’t say this is my favorite game store, or the best experience ever, but I also can’t get behind the 1 star reviews they have. If they have what you want (and they have a reasonable mix of collectible games and more casual/ strategy card and board games) you’ll be able to find it for a fair price - and I think that deserves 4 stars. If you like miniatures, their extensive terrain in their gaming area probably push them up to 5 stars and best in the area, but if you’re into cards there are other local stores that run better events or have larger variety of available singles and that might push them down to 3 or 3.5 stars.
Overall, I think they’re a just fine store, and while I do most of my playing and shopping at other game stores in the area I still sometimes come here to buy or trade in and I’ve always been content with what they have to offer.

Great place for table toppers. Fair priced and good selection for D&D and 40k. The only place I've found to have any selection for Battletech. Worth the drive.

Decent gaming store.
If they don't have it, they can order it. And they have a good-sized "play" area and exclusive room.
However, one of the employees always seems annoyed when asked questions. And some of the gamers are not to be...trusted.
Won't be back.

So, I was very hesitant to write this review. I have been in GMI games before and after Covid, and I have found that the way the store was and is managed is poor at best. The attitude that Catherine and I believe her husband had was very rough and if the new owner is the person I interacted with, it's only gotten worse. Many reviews have stated unfriendly atmosphere, rude staff and pricing shenanigans and I 110% agree with these points. Sadly it feels like the owners just don't care and if you are in this for profit solely, you are in the wrong business. It breaks my heart because I have had good times, however the bad far outweigh the good. I hope they will see this and try to change

I used to shop here and play games here alot when it was run by the previous owners, and I always had a pleasant experience. I try today, after few years away, ready to spend money on figures and MTG product, but upon making one simple inquiy with the man behind the counter, I was appaled. The dirty look I was given, plus the rude response he gave me as he stared blankly at me made me uncomfortable enough to drive away my business for good. I'll be suggesting to all my friends to avoid GMI from now on. What a shame.

Never been to GMI in person as I live in another state, but I placed an order online for a map-tile expansion pack for a TTRPG. I had been looking for this specific pack for sometime, as it was discontinued by the manufacturer. Unfortunately I was shipped the incorrect item, and so emailed them right away asking for a return label.Less than 24 hours later I received an email from customer service apologizing for the issue, as well as an email with a new tracking number for the correct product which they shipped out immediately.Would buy from GMI again.

Is the best fantasy gaming store from Temecula to San Bernardino. For paints, figures, brushes and more. It really does have it all. And the people there are very helpful, especially if your a beginner. D&D at it's best.

Fixed perfectly. The owner figured it out very quickly and already had the correct solution.

This place is a diamond in the rough! A huge selection of miniatures, painting supplies, cards, dice, books, and tons more. I like to check out their discount area for great deals. The store also has TONS of space for 8 large game tables, with a wall of terrain to choose from. There are regulars there every Sunday who are glad to give advice or just play a few games with.
