This place sucks. Everything is expensive and if you find something that is good enough deal they try to “ correct the prices” at checkout.. I had fully already paid and she tried to tell me it was the wrong price. First of all that’s illegal, you can’t change a price after payment, so don’t let them bully you and leave with what you purchased. They can’t call the cops on you or take it away.

Very over priced, even discolored clothes who is pricing these items? I found a coffee maker with a broken knob priced $25 brand new cost $30 poor customer service. Even saw items with 99 cent store sticker that where priced higher than when new.

I started coming here when this store first opened. It had a mix of reasonable and high priced items, but nothing exorbitant and occasionally a score that made the trip special. It was always full of nice items, not always to my liking, relatively clean, and lovely staff circling the store, tons employed there. I watched the staff dwindle and eventually get replaced with the self checkout. Items slowly creeped in price. A new front case to charge retail on what management perceives as "nice" items (but are mostly mediocre or destroyed).Changing rooms disappeared once ~COVID~ ? hit, replaced by the 2020 exchange policy in which I must make a 30 minutes trip each way, many times over several weeks, in order to find clothes that fit properly, plus return process time (which doesn't factor in hunting down the non-existent staff). This policy is made more ridiculous by the $9 pricing on tacky, poorly shaped shirts. You would think there would be incentive in the pricing to make up for this, I already have to hunt for hours through hole ridden, stained garbage that should either be cheap or thrown out. Gas is almost $7, management. We can't make rent. It's $3.5k in Riverside per month. Thrift is supposed to be affordable. You ABSOLUTELY should help the community with employment given this is a for-profit store and the extortionist pricing! Most items on eBay including taxes and shipping where 25% less than the items in this store, and in much better condition. 4.99 for a press board glitter sign that still had the original .99 Cent Store logo & price tag still on it, and the sign had clipped edges. 17.99 for stained jeans when Levis new are $23 on Amazon with free shipping.I can only briefly mention the ungrateful attitude I have witnessed EVERY. TIME. I have passed by those donating on the side, and I could see nice items in their bin. Again, it's more than a handful because I have gone here for years. There are no redeeming qualities here anymore, and I'm done.

I had to go back and get some pics so they see I'm not tripping. This is ridiculous. You're a thrift store selling used products for more than they're worth brand new!

Saw workers belittling a homeless guy, accusing him of stealing when he was in the store less than 10 seconds. The guy was looking for his bag, and the workers treated him like he was a rabid dog. How the hell is this behavior allowed? Unprofessional, unsympathetic, and inhumane. Don't take your business here.

I have been going to this Savers for 7 years. Donald in furniture is so awesome and friendly. He keeps his area immaculate, it’s hard for him at times when people don’t put things back where they get them. The store is clean. The only complaint I have is that the clothes have holes in them and they still price them high. Management is awesome and understanding.

...do they hire a bunch of people with anger management issues? I've never seen a place that despises homeless people more than the workers here. Its insane. Many instances where I've been there as they go OFF on people. I've seen them accuse random people of being homeless ? it's awkward.

I've never seen a bad Savers location. 30 years ago I shopped at Savers in San Jose. I was delighted to find Savers down here in SoCal. There's one in Fountain Valley (great), one in Yorba Linda (very good), and this one in Riverside (also very good). I shop for books, board games, clothes, shoes, and knickknacks. I've found decent used golf clubs (you need to get lucky) too. You need to remember: it's a thrift store, so you must go often to find the treasures.A generous donation gets you a 20% off coupon. Get on their email list and you'll find out about their weekly specials.

I dropped off several large bags and a tote full of clothing, including children’s costumes. I put the bags and tote in the large bright green bins. The employees who were bringing in the green totes had zero courtesy. They didn’t speak to me. One of them ran with the green tote behind him without any regard to what was happening to the items in the bin. The lid of the tote fell off and the costumes were falling into the street and one bag fell over and clothes started falling out. I was really disappointed and just drove away.

Overpriced items. It’s sad when you’re shopping here and hear a mother say she only found a few clothes for her daughters that weren’t $7 and up!!! Broke my heart, seeing the prices of donated clothes so high! Do better Savers!

I love this store. I just don't understand how people (Miriam V) complain about prices in a thrift store? . At the self check out customers are being watched to make sure the right price for an item is scanned. A Kate Spade purse does not cost $7.99, that means the price tag was switched, those purses usually are priced any where from $24.99 and up. I suggest start being honest with yourself and followers. Have a good day. A loyal Savers customer.

I always go to this savers and never have any issues. This morning my mom and I purchased a microscope. Before it was scanned we asked the employee if we could return it if it didn’t work. She said we can exchange it if it’s within 48 hours. It did not work so we went back around 7pm to exchange it. When we walked in we asked another employee about exchanging it. She told us since we bought it that day we could. We got to checkout with our stuff and were waiting in line for about 10 minutes.During that time we saw an older lady checking out trying to buy a kids electric car. The manager yelled from the jewelry case that the car was on hold. The lady then told the manager that it was on hold for her. The manager argued with her and was not letting the lady explain. She kept yelling at her that it wasn’t hers. She was extremely rude and would not let the lady purchase it. (the car was on the floor when I was walking around and another employee did indeed put it on hold for the lady but the manager put her foot down). The manager then went to the self checkout and started rapidly scanning people’s items for them as if they were going too slow for her liking. When it was our turn to check out we were waiting for help with the exchange. When she came over she saw what we had and very rudely told us we couldn’t exchange the microscope. My mom then started to tell her about how 2 other employees told us we can. The manager then told my mom there was no need to yell at her. My mom was talking in a normal tone, she didn’t raise her voice at all and when I told the manager she wasn’t yelling she said “i’m not dealing with this I’m done helping you.” This all happened within about 20 seconds and she immediately went back to the other lady and started scanning her items for her. There were more people waiting for help but she was ignoring them completely. We went to another employee for help and she kept telling him she’s not arguing about this and not to do the exchange. We found out her name is armani? The guy who helped was was extremely nice and could probably tell we were just following what we were told. We weren’t lying or being difficult. If you’re going to be a manager you shouldn’t be getting upset with customers who are simply trying to buy your stuff. The old lady was not in the wrong and didn’t deserve to be talked to the way she was. How the hell was she supposed to know the car wasn’t supposed to be on the floor. We were doing exactly what 2 employees said we could and were just tying to exchange a stupid microscope. She was being mean and giving attitude to almost everyone in line who was waiting to check out.I will admit after she walked away and refused to help I did give attitude back but if you’re going to come at people with an attitude expect to get one back.
