Every Stater Brothers I've been to is well managed. (Even in Rubidoux) They have all the lanes open if they're crowded and you don't need to be in a special club for any discount. SB and it's employee's in five words...

Now that most of their remodeling is done, it seems a little more cramped when you walk in, but their deli is much nicer now. By eliminating one of the doors, I hope it eliminates some of the theft problems.
