Do not buy a gun here. The gun counter has a slow system in place. I am not coming back again. After my ten day waiting period, I returned for a simple pickup. The system is to push a button and someone is supposed to take care of you. I heard an employee say that it would take 15 minutes. I was #6 in line and it was 2 hours before I was out of the store. Another time suck is filling out the dros form. It doesn't take long to do it, it may take a while to get to do it. There are only 2 stations for this. Since there were more than 2 people buying guns, I had to wait for this too.I had a much better experience at Sportsman's warehouse.

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN I DONT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. Today I experienced extreme sexism at the gun counter. I went in to look around at fish, buy a hat, and get a boresighter for my dad. I of course have no idea where to find a boresighter or where it would be. So I went to the firearms counter hoping to find help. They instructed me to wait in line. I did for a long time. When the man at the counter finally helped me (after he ignored me, and help another man who cut me in line) he helped me. I wasnt sure exactly what I was looking for so I just showed him the screenshot of the item my dad sent me. He helped me find it and then proceeded to walk me to the ammo counter. He showed them to me and I picked some out (not knowing there is a prosedure and a background check and that you had to have a gun) I was lost and trusted his guidance. However, as soon as we got to the counter, and I gave him all my info, he started berating me like I was a child in trouble telling me it got rejected and asking me personal questions regarding the purchase. He then accused me of lying. WHAT?!? I showed him the picture and everything what do you mean im lying?!? He at this point was yelling humiliating me to the point where I just walked away and checked out at the front with the rest of my items. I went back in to let their managers know. Thank goodness they were nice and reassured me that what he did was not Ok. but it really scarred me, and I will forever have PTSD from being DISCRIMINATED against and embarrassed. I DONT THINK I WILL EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN AND IF YOURE A WOMAN I suggest TAKING YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

TLDR: The store is really big itself. Most staff are very friendly and helpful. My family and I went there the day after Christmas and it was not too busy besides the customer service line. We on the other hand we're at the check out where there was little to nobody in line. The lady who helped me was very friendly and calm since I had gift cards to use. However, upon my mothers checkout she encountered this nasty lady at the register next to mine. We had 2 separate transactions and this lady had NOBODY to help. She gave my mom a really ugly look and didn't assist her. Then another person comes in line and is quick to assist them. I don't know her name but she is a petite nasty looking younger woman with an eyebrow piercing. Other than that the store had a pretty big selection considering it was the day after the holidays; with many good deals to offer.

Called the Rocklin location 5 times on hold for 4-8 minutes each attempt before hung up on by automated system. Never spoke to anyone. Tried multiple options. Called at 5:45 pm, website said open till 9pm. Not very professional for such a huge corporation.

I signed up for a new acount at Cabela's in Verdi NV. I wanted a rooftop carrier $299 CABRCC18/SKU 3008080. It looked exactly what I wanted. I was told they have 1 on hand. When I got there they said they only have one display unit bolted to the wall. I was told they have 3 units in stock at Rocklin CA, about 100 miles away.Drove to Rocklin, found they have 3 units but they had to search for the hardware pack which they found. Then there was no key for the locks. I need the unit now. Customer service said I could reach out to Corporate and wait for keys to be sent or maybe get a locksmith. I need it. I bought it as is. I found a locksmith in Reno who will make 2 keys right now (New Years Eve) for $139. Add $40 gas and 4 hour drive roundtrip Reno to Rocklin. $179 + $299 = $478. I buy things at least once a month from Cabela's Verdi since 2016. Not good!

Didn't even get to make it in store, called to see if they had 2 Carhartt jackets in stock and the woman answering the phone is rude and lazy, wouldn't check inventory for me. Told me to go online then "transferred me to customer service" where they just hung up on me without even saying a word. No wonder the reviews are so bad for this location I don't see them lasting much longer if they're blowing big sales like this every day.

Went Christmas shopping for my family and this kind employee helped me with everything. Even tried on some clothes to see if it would look good for my son . He would go to the back multiple times to get me the clothes I wanted . Thank you Louis for your time and hard work.

I love this place. Found socks for my poor feet to get through the winter. Saw Santa! Hubs shopped for fire arms and I looked around and found items for target practice. Since it is the Christmas season they have cute decorations out. We saw their aquarium of bass and catfish and the beautiful dioramas around the store. The atmosphere was light and happy. Families and groups having a good time. Folks that work there are very friendly and so willing to help. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

Chris Martin the service manager is amazing. My son and I were there yesterday and he was so genuine. It was like going back in time and working with somebody who is helpfull, nice, and in a good mood. REMEMBER THOSE DAYS!!! Cannot say enough good things about the service department.

5 stars for Grant and Richard at Cabela’s Boating Center. Grant has been so helpful in remedying the mistakes his sales team made. The sales team lied about damage that was on a boat (my boyfriend was buying it remotely and having it shipped to him) and then when one of the receptionists let it slip, the sales team management wouldn’t apologize nor resolve the fact that they lied about a boat’s condition and having to repair it prior to shipping it. Grant, the main store manager, has been in contact and is working with him now to resolve the issue. Sales department, aside from Richard, would receive 0 stars- hopefully they are educated on the importance of being ethical in the sales industry.
