I dread going to dmv because of past experiences but I've been to this dmv 3 times, it's never to busy, service is fast and the people working are extremely helpful.

Worst dmv I have ever been to. The people have no idea what they are doing or saying. The manager is rude and every time I spoke to them they had an attitude even though they were the one unable to help with the customers request. I went to this dmv 6 times within one month trying to resolve the same issue and no one could actually help me, and I encountered probably only 3 nice people total. Will not be going back.

They pay attention to the people who are waiting and not visit with their coworkers. Excellent experience.

The website let me make 2 appointments but when we get there only show one appointment. So back in line. The test is NOT EASY. Needed to transfer another state license to California, did paperwork online & took knowledge test online. Did not show test was taken on myself but others tests did??? Got temporary driver's license after taking test 3 times. People all around me cheating with 2-3 people standing laughing giving them answers. Girl next to me looking up answers on phone, she got caught. One older gentleman doing pictures, working at paperwork & helping with testing computer problems, poor guy, he deserves a raise. Everyone went to lunch & left him to do everything..crazy. A 3 hour ordeal & didn't get a REAL driver's license, just a driver's license. Website totally SUCKS! There was not one chair to sit down either. Place packed with people at 10-2pm. This was my worst experience at any DMV in 45 years. It's not the employees fault, we dealt with 5 people. 3 were very nice & explained what went wrong. 2 employees should get a job elsewhere, not with the public.

First off I want to say, I have been coming to this particular DMV for many years I drive 30 minutes out of the way to come. Moving forward to the incident that has caused me to write this review. I went in for my annual renewal of my tags. Everything started off seamless until I got Jason Fong... I arrived at his window 15 I said hello and he just stared at me and I said I'm here to renew my tags. This is my information and he proceeded to just stare at me. I asked him what did he need in order to make this process smoother. I then proceeded to give him my information which he was able to verify and find he let me know that I needed his smog. I said no problem there I can go ahead and get one and I'll come back tomorrow. He then let me know that I can go ahead and pay for my tags, and upon showing the completion of the smog, I would receive the tags. Coming today my husband goes up with the completion of the smog from this morning as well as the receipt from the prepaid tags already expecting to speak to the gentleman Jason. Unfortunately, that is not how it went the office manager Latinna Pace, did not make the situation any easier. She did not listen to what myself or my husband had to say in regards that the monies have already been taken and we were here to just pick up the tags. My husband wait to speak to Jason when Jason comes out he says I was looking for your wife and then turns around and walks away. Just leaving his ass for my husband to kiss. My husband tries to speak once again with the office manager to explain what is going on because I am so upset at the moment I cannot speak. What happened is Jason should never have taken my money as a payment for the tags. Do not come to this location anymore. They have mixed in bad apples with the ones that were once good and you can no longer tell the difference between the two. Lack of respect is so disheartening you just know people are not happy and are taking it out on the clients. I clearly understand why there is a big push to just do everything online. There isn't a need to come to an actual location anymore especially when people act like this it's just not necessary or needed. Absolutely disgusting

The guy from window 6, a disabled person (without an arm), is prejudiced towards people who do not know English well, shows aggression, and mocks. a clear expression of racism. It's only because of this man that I will never come to this dmv again.

The clerk at window #5 Courtney was so rude and unprofessional! Never visit this DMV just went there to get my grandson a ID and Courtney did everything in her power to turn us away! Go to the one in Folsom way faster and professional.

Had to drop in to the Grove Avenue branch to fix a glitch in a registration that was keeping me from trading in a car in order to buy another. Very organized, minimal wait and very quick and thorough fix. Impressed!!!

The staff is friendly and helpful at this location. Even though I didn't have an appointment, the wait time was reasonably short. Best DMV location I have been too!
