The room I stayed in was a good size and clean, the first night I stayed had a good night, the second night was not, at around 2:00 am I was woke up with a horrible humming sound, I waited to see if it would stop, it finally did for about a minute or two then started back up again this continued all night, I didn't sleep, so at check out I told customer service about my horrible night , as I started to tell him about my room he said oh was their a noise like a humming sound I said yes, lead me to believe he already new about it, I asked if I could get an adjustment on my bill he said "NO" because I didn't give them the (hotel) a chance to fix the problem, he stated that someone was available 24 hours to come take a look at the problem I was having in my room , he said they could of either fixed the problem or given me another room, I was telling him that it was 2:00 am in the morning, I said so you expect your guest to come to the lobby so maintenance can come in my room to see if maintenance can fix the problem, or try to get another room, so this means that at 2:00 am I'm to get my luggage pack everything up hoping I don't leave anything behind to go to another room, as I am traveling by myself..Honestly, I didn't feel that was a good option for myself. So I was told there was nothing they could do for me, so I paid full price for two nights, horrible customer service I will never stay at that hotel again as I travel a lot to that area, I will definitely back to the Hotel I was using prior to giving Holiday Inn a chance as it was a little closer. Disappointing service

We knew something was up when we were told to come back to the front desk if the room wasn't to our liking so they could fix it. The location was fine and easy access to the Thunder Valley Casino for a show. The maintenance and upkeep of the room was so disappointing. Mismatched paint, lazy repairs. It seemed clean. If you just need a place to stay it's fine. If you expect someone to maintain their hotel well and care about asthetics I would skip it.

I was in town to be by my dad's side who was dying. Due to the uncertainty of his death and the upcoming weekend, I wanted to make sure I had a place to stay. Under duress I booked a room in the early evening. Well, my dad ended up dying in his sleep that night, so I no longer needed the room and called this hotel the next morning. However, they the manager, Jessie, was unwilling to waive the first night's room fee due to their cancellation policy. Any reputable organization under the circumstances would be willing to waive the penalty; therefore I do not recommend this hotel or any other IHG hotels.

Outstanding Hotel for the money. The staff was extremely friendly. The woman in the kitchen was amazing. My room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The outdoor pool was a plus. I will return to this hotel again and again.

Now that I've moved from Rocklin to Red Bluff, I stay at Holiday Inn Express when I visit now. This was a last minute trip and this location had room. There's 2 other Holiday Inn Expresses in this area, one other in Roseville across the freeway and one in Lincoln just up the 65 freeway a little bit. I arrived early and was afforded an early check in, so that's nice! I'm a member of the IHG rewards club and you get 500 points just for checking in. What was good about this location over other locations is they posted my points to my account within minutes of me checking in. Some locations I have to wait like 3 days or they forget all together!I received an upgraded room with out even asking because of my rewards club status. Normally I have to ask to get the upgrade to a bigger room. My room was very nice, the heater and AC worked fine and I noticed they upgraded the TV to a bigger flat screen than was here last time. Nice big and sharp picture when connected to my laptop to stream Netflix using the WiFi connection. The speed was good, not super fast but good enough to stream no prob. All rooms include a mini fridge and microwave. These are great for keeping leftover food and drinks cold and the microwave pops popcorn just fine. The room was clean as was the bathroom. No mold or dirt or hairs not my color floating about. The shower works great with endless hot water. The included breakfast was standard for Holiday Inn Express, meaning it really good. There are a few small variations between locations. All the rest of the food was great as usual, scrambled eggs, omelets, biscuits and gravy along with turkey sausage patties and pork sausage links. The gym was located right near the room so that made it easy to use. They have a full set of free weights all the way up to poundage that I can't even lift! Cardio is a treadmill, sit down bike and elliptical trainer. The pool was open and nice as was the hot spa pool.I just stayed one night and check out was super easy, I even was allowed to check out late!

Let me start by saying they accommodate my request to be in a front facing room away from the freeway noise. I stayed here so I could attend a graduation, and this is my preferred hotel as it is super close to family. Night one, no issues, great sleep. Morning, I took a shower, and the drain was super slow, I ended up with about 1.5"s of water. It would take about 30 minutes to completely drain, but it drained, and this went on for the rest of my stay. The faucet was extremely hard to turn on. It's one of those you flip up, then left/right for temperature. On my last morning, I tried to make coffee in the room before going down for breakfast, but the coffee maker didn't work. It made all the sounds like it was working to include the lights but no coffee! I did tell the staff at check out because I literally only slept there. I received an apology.....

Had an event in Rocklin and did not want to drive home, so grabbed a room at this Holiday Inn. The facility is clean and the staff is personable. If you're looking for amenities, even basics, they're all locked down in the rooms and large size to be used multiple times. Personally, I'm not a fan of lots of people using the soaps and lotions in the bathroom and housekeeping just refilling. While it may be cost effective, I question how sanitary it is. The rooms themselves are basic and the beds are firm. The hot tub was closed while I was there, but the pool was open. They offer a quick breakfast in the morning with coffee, eggs, Turkey sausage, fruits and cereals; this was a nice option as I was in a hurry to get home the next day. My room faced the highway, but was surprisingly quiet. If you're attending an event and need a quick overnight, this place is fine. If you're looking for long term and great amenities, not so much.

A stay at a hotel plays a large part in how fun and relaxing a vacation is. Unfortunately for my family, our reservation at this hotel turned out to be the worst experience in our whole trip.My family had planned a week long trip throughout California. Stopping in four different cities. Our first destination was Sacramento to visit our family and relatives living there and Stockton. Since this hotel was close to where we need to be, we booked a stay here for two nights.Easy, right? Wrong! Problems with our trip started to happen before we even got there. Our fight got canceled. Not the hotel's fault, but we did our best to let the hotel know our situation. We were told by the hotel that we couldn't make changes to the reservation, so we said we would still like to keep it because we know we will be there to check in and stay on the second night. When we checked in, we were told they canceled our reservation. No one told us this, and they knew we we're going to check in. It's not like we didn't communicate this with them. Anyway, after a long while, we we're given rooms. They said they'd honor the prices we were booked with before. Wonderful, right? No! Cause whatever they said to us at the front desk was a lie! They didn't honor the prices. In fact, they didn't tell us everything. They took the deposits for both nights we booked. They charged so much for a one night stay that it if we knew we wouldn't have stayed there. We didn't even know this until we saw how much we were charged for on our card. We tried to get this cleared up, but customer service and management refused to see any wrong in their part. It's infuriating.Anyway, just be careful when booking a stay here. Because when you think they are helping, they might be making things worse. That's just stressful, which is what we are trying to get away from during a vacation. One thing is for sure, they are bad at communicating. Among themselves, the hotel staff, management, website, and especially with customers.Noteworthy details: They have very bad communication and terrible customer service. If any of your requests are of any inconvenience for them, they will not help to the best of their abilities.

Checked in today due to a pipe burst at home. Booked on line with no problems using AAA Rate. Front desk gentleman was very nice and welcoming and efficient. Room was very clean and new. Has a fridge and microwave which were equally clean and a coffee pod waiting for use!

The front desk service is very below the average. We had an issue with room which was next to laundry which works 24/7, elevator and had a bad smell which affected my wife's allergy and literally did not want to have any solution. I have suggested to pay for any other room to upgrade but had an arrogant attitude. We end up adding another room at Hyatt Place and had a great time there. It was worth to double pay it and spend a good family weekend, We should have read the previous review and stay away.

Family tested positive for covid so I had to cancel reservation. I was charged because I missed cancelation date by a day. Had I know my family was going to get sick I for sure would have canceled a day earlier! Talked to general manager and he stated they will not go against cancellation policy and nothing he could do. Called IHG as he stated to try them and he still said no refund of charge. Why tell us to call there main company line online to say nope??? Be careful booking here.. book at your own risk!
