I love HomeGoods for the browsing, the “line trap” treasures, and the unexpected finds — that’s half the fun of coming here. But during my last visit, I had a strange experience with an employee that felt a little out of place for the store.
While my mom and I were in line, an employee was very proactively asking customers if they were “ready.” At first, I thought that was great! But then she began commenting (almost ranting) about how many customers stand in line and keep browsing or even take calls. She even told us directly how much it frustrates her.
The irony is that HomeGoods is built for browsing — especially in line. The displays and cute finds are literally there to slow you down and encourage one more purchase. Most of the time, customers work it out politely by asking, “Are you ready?” if someone is browsing. So, I get it to a degree. If the person on the phone doesn’t acknowledge them, but sees them asking the question, that makes sense. That’s rude.
However, the worker’s frustration came across more aggressive than helpful, which made the whole interaction feel awkward. Honestly, if you dislike customers browsing in line, HomeGoods might not be the right store for you — because that’s part of the charm here.
Still love this store, but hope employees can remember that a little patience goes a long way — especially in a place designed for leisurely shopping.

I love this location. Great selection, etc but the icing on the cake is the customer service. Most recently a cashier (I think her name was Jenna?) was an absolute gem. Like, so sweet and clearly gifted with the customer service. The younger generation gets such a bad rap on their lack of socialization skills but this girl alone should restore faith in humanity. I hope my daughter grows up to be just like her.

I enjoyed the shopping experience but downgraded stars due the the horrible artificially flavored peppermint bark sold in the stores. Does not taste like peppermint at all. Tastes like bad cologne or a chemical. I could not enjoy a single bite.

Lots of great things for Christmas shopping: Bedding, clothes, bath items, gifts, dishes, pet items. Good prices too. Lots of other stores in the same mall to keep you busy.
