Went in to get some fresh made sandwiches at the deli. The lady was telling me what I want and don’t want and questioning what I’m putting in my sandwich. And my first time hearing they charging extra for a toasted sandwich!? Is that true !?

Food is often left expired on the shelf in every department, new employees what feels like every other week means there's a lack of customer service and experience, and whatever else. Walmart's cheaper, Costco has better products, not really worth coming here except very rarely for genuinely good sales. Really. Non member price will be let's say 15 bucks, and then digital is 10, so wowza, what a deal! But then you look at literally any other store and their regular price for the same item is anywhere from 5-8 bucks, so you're not only getting ripped off, you're also handing over your phone number to boost some metrics a desk jockey will assuredly pleasure himself to later.

I was in the store yesterday picking up a coconut cake I ordered a few days ago. The Baker was already gone for the day so when I picked it up, it wasn’t what I expected. I stared to get very upset!!! I expected it to have coconut all over the outside, but it looked like a basic white cake. (Long back story about the coconut cake… too much to type) Anyway, I started to get upset with the nice young lady so she got the manager… Serena (spells it differently). Serena listened to me complain and she calmed me down! Since we were not sure if it was a white cake or a coconut— she gave me the cake for free! Great customer service!!!
Update— it was coconut ? and it was delicious!!! ??

too bad the freezer end cap has had a bad door for 6 months now. The ice cream is always soft. Well the store seems to have gotten a facelift.

I was in a panic as I called Safeway Customer Service @ 3pm on a friday as I was in need of 90 $100 gift cards for a company function by MONDAY .. I had the pleasure of dealing with LEAH who went above & beyond to take care of me in my time of need .. she had me come right down & pulled 90 gift cards off the shelf & proceeded to activate each one in a timely matter counting back each one as well as double checking price & accuracy on top of helping multiple other customers who were wanting Carpet Machine Rentals, Money Orders, & Western Union transactions etc and patiently one by one she helped them with a smile in between my transactions. I just had to commend Leah for her professionalism & positive can do attitude she truly made our day .. Thank you so much LEAH & Happy Holidays ! From all of us here @ AUDI ROCKLIN

The kid watching the self check out didn't have a clue. Wouldn't even try to help me. It was like I was irritating him for having a question. What has happened to customer service.
