The Wijit Company

Hours: The mission statement of The Wijit Company is: To increase the quality of life for wheelchair-dependent people through mobility products that reduce injury, promote physical activity and allow independence. Our primary product "The Wijit" is a lever-powered, gearing enhanced, Driving and Braking System (DBS) that replace the regular wheels on manual wheelchairs. Along with its lever-activated, built-in, enhanced braking, they let you climb steep ramps, cross over thresholds, go safely down steep inclines, power over thick carpeting (and other difficult surfaces) – all while preventing injuries; going further and faster than possible with a standard push-rim wheelchair; and without sore shoulders, torn gloves or dirty hands.
