I've had great experiences with Umpqua. Erin at the Stanford Ranch branch has always been wonderful! I think the current low rating must be from the occasional person who has an off experience or didn't like what they were told and because of the thousands of us who have positive experiences don't usually take the time to rate a bank or tell the public where they bank. But when some one is mad, they sometimes want to strike back, so maybe that's where the low reviews are coming from? Umpqua has been probably my favorite bank in all my years. They are just regular people trying to do their best.

Erine and her team always greet me by name and handle my business with the utmost professionalism. I’ve been banking here for a decade and have nothing but great things to say about Umpqua. I moved my business to this bank and my kids also have accounts here too.

Umpqua at this branch does not know what customer service means. Christine, specifically is very rude to her customers. Every time I go to this location, I get to endure her extremely negative attitude and it does not feel good to be insulted every time. Sometimes, she's all at the front desk so you don't have any other options but to face her wrath. If she hates customer service, then I don't understand why she is at the front desk. I could hear her be rude to other customers while standing in the line as well. Please fire her for customer's sake. She is replaceable and this branch can find better representative than Christine who just loves being rude at every customer.

Used to love this bank,they changed everything before I moved, and they kept my social security number after closing my account which I didn't give them permission to do so which led to my info being breached. Screw y'all.

This is not for the Branch, but the Company. I left my ATM card in the machine and realized it soon after. They couldn’t give me the card back because they have an outside vendor that services the ATM and it’s their policy to keep the cards. This is such a disservice to your customers that they have to now wait 10 days to get a new card since you don’t do temporary ones.

I love this bank! Been with them now about 15 yrs , they are a bank but run like a credit union with the same ideas of members first!

On top of a few other things that I don't like about this bank/branch. Like really low zelleand fund transfers, really long response to online questions and they made it extremely difficult to do any business during covid. This bank also closes for an hour mid day to let employees have lunch.Helpful tip to the genius behind closing mid day. Stager lunch times for employees and you will not have to close. That way your clients who are probably using their lunch break to go to the bank are able to do so. Just another ridiculous CA business.

Not this branch...well, might be. We took out a HELOC through the branch on Walerga. That branch has since closed and we are left with an online banker Jenn A. (unsure which branch she is with) who did not respond to our request to lock the interest rate for 3 months. We are now stuck at a higher interest rate because she was "busy helping someone else" and "just saw the message"....three months later. Looking for a better interest rate to refi at. We will not be recommending Umpqua in general, regardless of branch, to any family or friends.

I have been with Umpqua for a few years and have been happy with the bank but yesterday I went to the Rocklin branch to get a cashier check because I'm closing escrow next week and I was told there was a 10 day hold on a check I deposited 3-4 days earlier. The check I deposited 3-4 days prior is from a local buss in Roseville that banks with River City Bank...they're FDIC insured and local. There should have been no problem with me getting access to my money. I asked if this was an umpqua policy twice, the lady behind the counter seemed confused / uncomfortable and asked if I was given a letter? so I left. I went to the Walerga branch in Antelope about 30 min. later and got a cashier check with no problems, it took about 10 minutes. They told me the check in question cleared the day after it was deposited. I don't know for sure but I suspect I was denied access to my money because I'm a straight white male American. Umpqua Bank should look into this, you may have some Marxist/ Woke activists on your payroll discriminating against your customers.

I'm pretty impressed with the customer service. Ryan helped me start a new bank account and it was very easy and fast. He was very informative, quick and professional. I'm very happy with my choice to come here. I recommend it.

Cookie day is my jam. It's always fun to come I and get some cookies and coffee while waiting (but rarely do you have to wait here!) I hope they get an ice machine or a cold water dispenser for the coffee and tea nook for the summer heat. As for the banking, they're awesome! I can't seem to get service like here anywhere else! Great people. Awesome cookies on Fridays.

I'm blown away by this bank and this particular location. The individuals who work here are the most incredible people. They are deeply generous with their kindness and patience. I've been overwhelmed with how warm, inviting, and helpful they ALL are. What Umpqua is doing as a bank is really special. I can speak for the location I bank at that they are really living up to a relationship bank ideal. I feel so lucky that I can communicate with my banker, have open communication with someone I've built a relationship of trust with and they know and care about my goals and where I want my life to head. Erine at Umpqua CARES about her clients. She dreams with you and works to help you achieve those goals. I feel taken care of, I have someone rooting for me at my BANK. How special is that? When I go in I'm treated with respect, a friendly welcome, and someone always there to give me the time I need and never trying to push me out. I ENJOY going to the bank. Umpqua has changed how I view banking and given me excitement for my future. I cannot thank them enough or give enough praise!!!
