The agent we worked with, Hannah of Santa Rosa Moving & Storage, and Roy, our moving truck driver were so wonderful to work with for my family’s move from San Francisco to Virginia. They were knowledgeable, caring, and accountable. We recommend and would use Allied Van Lines services again in the future. Thank you! ? ??

23 boxes 3 totes and 1 65 inch tv and 1 lamp pole was stolen off the truck no one has followed up with me They even charged me for the items that were never delivered. If the driver wasn’t so nice and the packers were excellent I would have given them 1 star

Overall I am happy with my experience with Allied Van LinesThe representatives were professional and shipped my goods without any issues.I do want to raise awareness to the weight limit given for your cargo. Be sure to weigh your goods before shipping to prevent additional charges.

I called Allied after being swindled by another company and I wish that I had gone with my instinct and called Allied first. Their customer service was fantastic. Hannah always responded quickly to any questions I sent her via email and actually answered the phone when I called. Allied is a bit pricey, but so worth it for peace of mind and ease of process. They don't ask for a deposit, which I didn't know movers weren't supposed to ask for a deposit (that little nugget of info could have saved me from being swindled for $1200 by the other company . If you get a quote from a company for a cross country move and they want a deposit - hang up immediately and call Allied.) Now for my experience of the actual move....W O N D E R F U L!!!! Ernie and his team picked up my things from storage on time and were very well organized. I moved out of state, but Ernie got my things across the country in less than a week and delivery was phenomenal. He and his team were very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and tremendously skilled at their job. I will definitely use this company for any future moves and highly recommend them. They may seem expensive at first, but believe me - they are worth it, and yet will negotiate with you if you find a lower quote with a company that is comparable to their services.

I'm so glad we chose to work with Allied for our long-distance move. On the front end, they:1. Showed up on time (8am)2. Were nice, friendly, and had great attitudes3. Were very professional4. Handled our things efficiently and carefully; and5. Had all of our things out of our apartment in four hours; At the back end, they:1. Showed up at our destination as expected2. Worked their butts off bringing all of our things in3. Reassembled things so well that a wonky coffee table I had assembled (poorly) got reassembled by them the way it was meant to be! They made it sturdy and solid, the way a coffee table should be, lol!3. And they placed all of our things (upstairs and downstairs) where we wanted them.I think being a Mover is one of the hardest jobs around. Tony and Rick worked exceptionally hard, did not slack for a minute, and had great attitudes. Their professionalism and work ethic are top-notch; I felt really lucky to have them taking care of our things.P.S. I did my "research," which consisted of reading lots and lots of Yelp reviews. If you're doing the same, doesn't it seem like every company has a bunch of horrible reviews? It's enough to make you want to rent a U-Haul and do the move yourself. In your decision-making, I hope you keep Allied on your radar. We had a stellar moving experience with them, and I wish the same for you.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. DONT HIRE THEM! I should've researched. I used these guys as the agent for Allied Van Lines. Worst experience ever! I have been waiting to write a review to see if I was refunded by Allied and now it's safe to say I am not getting any money back. You will be sorry if you go with them. First the driver who showed up was AWFUL and RUDE. I then changed my destination address to less than 2 miles away and I changed it within 48 hours of the time they picked up my stuff, Terry, the woman in office basically informed me it would cost me another 1800.00 for storage. When I tried to ask her why, and she went 'round and 'round about it and then she hung up on me. Then, due to the change in destination, they took 3 more weeks to deliver my things. I had no more than a 20 ft. truck's worth of stuff and the move cost me over 6 grand, three weeks time and had to deal with the most ridiculous rude office staff who couldn't answer my question as to why it was costing me 1800 more. There was some damage to my furniture but I have decided NOT to even deal with them anymore. I just can't take the incompetence of Allied and their agent Jay, the man in charge of Sausalito/Santa Rosa moving and storage was polite and the unloading crew up in Oregon were as wel. HOWEVER, if I could save one person from using the Sausalito/Santa Rosa crew and Allied Van lines, then I have saved one person from a nightmare! Read the reviews. I wish I had. DON'T USE THEM! You've been warned.

Don't Use Them or Allied Vans Lines! Even to take out your trash! The local saleslady was very friendly and professional. We were impressed with her attention to detail in the bidding process. She did convince me that since we were moving from California to Oregon, we might want to upgrade our damage insurance to 100% replacement coverage in case something got damaged. We did that. The loading crew showed up, obviously self-distracted with cell phone addiction and playing obnoxious music on their phone speakers. I did not witness, but found out at the point of unloading, that items they took apart themselves such as torch lamps and bicycles, were simply ripped apart and damaged. The unloading crew had better manners, but left all the items the loading crew disassembled in a pile in my garage. As I began to sift through these items, I found my $1,000 plus bicycles were yanked apart without releasing any cables or nuts. Each needed over $100 of repairs. $300 torch lamps were left not working. Wheels were busted off of any item that has wheels on it. I was glad I purchased the additional insurance. Not! Upon placing a damage claim with Allied Van Lines (the parent company), I was met with the rudest people I have ever encountered. Even though I filled out the damage claims in detail, researched repair /replacement costs thoroughly, I found out quickly that their policy is to not pay out ANYTHING! In their rude conversations on the phone, they made statements such as "we don't know that these items were working when you turned them over to our movers". Additionally, even though I provided proof of original purchase prices and replacement costs, they insisted the items were only worth about 1/3 of that because they could find something that "looked" similar on the Internet for less. Not an equivalent in quality or features, but that became the prices they insisted in using for response to the claim (minus a $250 deductible). Additionally after rejecting my initial claim, I was told that my claim was now in a final review queue that would take 45 days before it be looked at again and no one would open the file to discuss it with me. In essence even after many phone calls and resubmissions, they simply stonewalled any efforts for open and honest communication. My takeaway is, the extra insurance I purchased was expensive, yet worthless to me and was intentionally misdirected as corporate profit by Allied Van Lines. They are thoroughly crooked and unethical.

JUST DON'T! Hired them for a long distance move within the state. Two young guys showed up on moving day. One was on his cell phone via headset taking personal calls the entire time they were loading the truck. Same one completely ignored signs on the boxes clearly marked "fragile" and "this side up" because he was too busy taking those personal calls. I personally saw him take a bin marked "fragile" and "this side up" and turn it upside down and swing it over his shoulder to carry out. No care in handling our items at all. The other one, the driver, worked diligently, I will say. We haven't unpacked yet, so I can't comment on how many things broke, but I know they did because I heard the commotion. The driver and a different worker showed up at the new residence to unload the next day. They put everything where we asked them to but we had to ask them to do the "little things", like hook up the washer and dryer, put the shelves back in the cabinets, and such. We had to ask them to hook up the washer and dryer, which they did, but they never even bothered to turn the water on for the washer. They would not have done this had we not asked and we are seniors for whom it is difficult to do these kinds of jobs. We did notice some chipping of the furniture, including an antique china cabinet. We also noticed dirty black hand and fingerprints on some pieces. Lastly, today, two days after the move, we opened one dresser to find some "contraband" that nobody should ever have to find, left behind by a mover, in their dresser drawer. Let's just say law enforcement has been contacted and has retrieved the item in question from our residence. We paid them a good chunk of money for this move, and feel we got workers who didn't care, and to top it off, some very strange monkey business which ended up with us contacting the police and having the police come to our home. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
