Worst experience Ever! I've bought at least 5 couches from you guys at this location over the past 15 years. Came in 2 days ago to make sure the couch I wanted was available. I was told it was. Today, I came in, only 2 days later, with a truck, to buy yet another $1,000 couch, dealt with Victor, the "furniture manager." He was EXTREMELY rude, disrespectful and said we could not purchase the couch because there were none available. I said, "the couch is right there. I'm looking at it." He said they could not sell me that couch because it was the floor model.
I explained how we had been in 2 days prior and were told it was all good to go. He said, "I'm the Furniture manager, sorry, you cant."
The way he spoke to me was so incredibly rude and with such a lack of customer service skills, let alone social skills. I asked for his name, he would not give it to me and he was wearing no name tag, just a ragged black t-shirt, with air pods in and his music blaring from his cell phone.
I walked up to the front and asked the girl at the registers what his name was, she said, "I don't know."
I obviously wanted his name because I'm going to contact corporate, and they were aware enough to realize that.
Then she picks up her phone and starts texting. I walked outside, so incredibly frusterated by the interaction. I come back in again to get his name and they are at the registers talking. So she clearly knows his name and lied!
I've never seen such a poorly run store! It makes sense why you guys can barely stay afloat! Not only lost a $1,000+ sale today, but a long time customer. Already posted to every form I can think of telling people not to deal with this location.

How does one objectively rate a chain store? I mean, aren't all Big Lots the same? Sure, I'm sure the Big Lots in City X is probably similar to the Big Lots in Rohnert Park. What sets stores apart for me is customer service.
It is a rare occurrence that I walk out of Big Lots dissatisfied. The selection of items can be a bit scatter-shot (best to go in with a vague idea of what you want), but the sales and the customer service is above reproach. Where Wal-Mart is happy to leave 2 aisles open with 74 people in line, Big Lots keeps that line moving. I think I was in a Big Lots line that had 6 people in it once, but it was Christmas and it was a sale.
Overall, the Big Lots on RPX has some great people working there. Be patient with them, be kind to them, and they will repay that back with top notch customer service.

Prices are higher or equivalent to a popular food chain grocery store. The reason I started shopping there was because they were less expensive than other stores. Even non perishables have taken a steep jump in prices. However they still have some items I like at lesser value than at other stores. Check around for things you want before going there. If inflation is dropping, so should their prices.

The lights were making a high pitched buzzing sound throughout the entire store. There was also an odd smell. It was clean but I could not enjoy my time there because of the irritating sound!

This store has so many great buys. Pet supplies, food , gardening, toys you name it. Not every thing is high quality but I bought a triple sized umbrella there 3-4 years ago and it is still good. I pull it out every summer and it gives a lot of shade. Today I picked up a garden hose and it was about 1/2 the price.

Hmmm..... Everything in this store seemed way more expensive than even WALMART! I hadn't stopped by this store in quite a while, but it was really pricey! I'd much rather go to Target or Walmart. Why would you shop here?
