I have been taking my dog at local Petco’s for AKC training classes. 95 weeks in total.
Private to group classes. Up here at PV Petco because Western Ave training program was suspended for awhile.
The store poor customer service I observe. SPEAK OUT. It will improve. These are workers that may not be well trained in customer service. Systemic from the top. Not the young ones problem.
But of 3 Petco’s I have gone to in the area - the managers have all resolved issues promptly. And the PV trainer Catalina I highly recommend
She truly loves her job. She stays professional at all times. The focus is on the dog. Honestly tells you how to be better owner. Finds tips to help you and your dog reach a training goal. 95 weeks due to anxiety issues. My dog has evolved ONLY BECAUSE OF THE PETCO TRAINING STAFF!
I thank LA ANIMAL SERVICES shelter that gave me the first 6 week voucher to training classes here.

Rolling Hills location is the best Petco. A lot clearance items and beautiful Guinea Pigs and a CD minute parrot was so cool to which I almost bought it.

I recommend against going for cat grooming to this location. Total waste of time. She didn't seem to care for her job. I could see from the start she was not going to take care of the job. Sure, enough 40 min later she calls me to pick up my cat because of whatever excuse that I don't even remember. Take your pet to Peninsula Center pet hospital. They completed the job without excuses in first time and cost half the Petco

Customer service here is awful. Tried to buy a betta fish and was absolutely interrogated by the employee about my tank size, etc. In such a rude way, and he said it was their “policy” to ask all this. I had my handicapped mother waiting for me to “run in” and was in a rush to get back to the car. Being held up and interrogated was not part of the plan! I have owned multiple bettas over the course of 20 years, many living for 3-5 years. I am an experienced owner! Turns out this is NOT a company policy at all. NO ONE offered me any help while I was in the store, just this interrogation at checkout. This same employee grilled me about an item I bought for my kitten a while back, and treated me like I was an idiot. (Was bottle feeding a rescue- not my first time- and was buying her formula, he tried to push me to buy the wrong item at checkout) I won’t be returning here.

Please hire more staff. It's very difficult to buy things because no one is there to grab the items from the tanks (fish, plants, etc)

Asked to pet the cats in the adoption area and the employee working the cash register gave me a snarky response. I'll give petco a little bit of leeway though because the next employee I asked was much nicer

Jenni is amazing with my lil Cocker senior! Everyone in grooming has been great but We usually see her and she is so careful with him, always does an amazing job even if you have specific requests, she remembers everything about him and truly cares. I used to do mobile grooming, but I had some bad experiences, who knew that Petco would be the best possible place for him! He never has to sit around in a crate, waiting to be groomed and I get a heads up when he's going to be ready so I can be there right when he's finished. Buddy just loves her and he went from being so nervous to completely calm, and he's 14! Oh and he doesn't come home all itchy like he has every time in the past. Takes so much stress off. Highly highly recommend the entire grooming staff here, but especially Jenni!

Extremely helpful staff. Very knowledgeable in animal care. They recommend wonderful for both dogs and helped my daughter learn about her bearded dragon
