“This is my family’s favorite bookstore. We’ve found many great vintage children’s books at decent prices. The staff is friendly, and the environment is inclusive.”
“Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They were incredibly helpful and patient answering my questions. It was refreshing to have such a positive customer service experience. I appreciate the support I was provided.”
“The Junior League of Pasadena is an excellent organization to join. If you are looking for professional development and personal empowerment, a network of amazing women, and volunteering opportunities / ways to give back to the Pasadena community (and beyond!), I strongly recommend joining. It is a great investment in yourself and your future.”
“Came up here because I was down on my luck and needed some food. These folks were so friendly as soon as you walk up to their gate. The emergency food is right at the front easily ready to go and the gentleman out in the front was so helpful and kind. It’s beautiful to know there is places like this and hope with a helping hand out here. Thank you all and God bless you.”
“Hours before our Dad passed, Convalescent Aid Society helped us with an urgent request for a wheelchair. They helped us at our greatest time of need so I can’t thank them enough about CAS. This is the best Organization so please support them.”
“Angel was incredibly kind, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. She took the time to clearly explain the work program I’m participating in and made me feel supported every step of the way.
Since I’m not a U.S. citizen, there were some extra challenges with paperwork, but Angel went above and beyond to figure out exactly what documents were needed and how to complete the process correctly.
I truly appreciate her care, dedication, and positive energy. Thank you so much, Angel, for all your help and compassion.
You really made a difference.”
“Smooth Donation Drop-off
Dropping off donations here was quick and easy. They offer receipts for tax or benefit claims, which is helpful. They're clearly doing good work helping people in need.”
“Beloved community, holistic arts and community programs, reconnecting to earth. I’m a member of this garden and so grateful to be. Visit us any Saturday, 8am-12pm! We also have community food distributions every other Saturday - come thru and take nourishment home with ya. ? A beautiful place always…and especially in spring for Cali Native flower blooms ?”
“The Senior Citizen exercise program is great! Not too easy and not too hard. The instructor is very clear, supportive and understandable. The only negative thing is that it is only once a week. It should be twice a week separated by a few days.”
“We had such a great time, went to support a colleague, the atmosphere is calm, everyone there just mingling, drinks are well priced and delicious definitely returning”
“Pastor John Riley is inspired by the Holy Spirit! He is relatable transparent and doing and providing God's heart to a community and wherever He is needed locally or overseas. I've been a member over 30 years, erased my children in the church and they are serving the Lord to this day. ???❤️”
“I would like to thank the staff members at the community service agency. I visited there three times due to the changes I made. Carmen patiently helped me with my matters and explained everything clearly each time. I highly recommend this agency.”
“My wife spent 3 weeks here in the skilled nursing facility after the repair of her broken arm. Her care was loving, attentive & personal. There seemed to be personnel attending to her continuously. The staff helped her recover & return to her memory care unit. And each patient has their own tv. We are grateful to all the staff but especially to Victoria, Cristal, Dominic, Alonzo, Carol, Anthony, Natalie & Christopher.”
“Thank you for painting my curb! Tim came by more door today. Very kind man and I’m so thankful he came by so I had the opportunity to give back and learn about your organization! Thank you for doing what you do for the community.”
“I love this little shop because it is really inexpensive and has some great designer brands and shoes most of the time! I used to shop here years ago. Because the business is small and has limited space, you will need to say "excuse me" frequently. High-quality apparel may be obtained at rock-bottom costs here. You won't find a better deal anywhere else.”

“I am currently a client for mental health. I suffer from manic depression and at the time I was suicidal. This place is really for the youth 25 and below. However they stepped in to help me. I have a great team. ?”
“Cool staff and cool place. Got a whole setup minus trucks for a decent price and gripped my board for free. He made sure the grip tape edges were nice and clean, even used a drill to clean up the hardware holes. They sell art supplies too. Completely recommended.”
“Very impressed! Easy in, Easy Out! Staff is so sweet and compassionate! If you are in need of food - please visit here ? Minister Lisa Griggs

“Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to take a peak at the free to see “From the Ground Up” exhibit. This gallery is small but engaging with a wide variety of contemporary artworks on display that all told a different but connected story. The gallery wasn’t crowded at all which allowed for an immersive art experience. I was able to find street parking close by without issue. They also host other exhibits periodically and offer art classes for children and adults. I haven’t been to one of these yet, but would love to in the future. A nice place to stop by for a bit to enjoy free art if you find yourself walking around in Old Pasadena.”
“Very nice beautiful park to go with the family, an incredible experience on the way up you meet different birds, animals, many plants, beautiful trees, many flowers and a lot of nature and with a lake at the top of the mountain, visit it, you will love it”
“This beautiful and rustic space has been the home of so many wonderful memories over the years. I’ve attended weddings, taken educational workshops, enjoyed professional dancers and musicians traveling through, watched theatrical experiences, enjoyed movie nights, shared wonderful dinners… the list goes on. So happy that Nature Friends is easily accessible for folks like myself here in LA. I also love that it’s situated right at the edge of the Angeles National Forest - you never know what amazing wildlife you’ll witness.”
“This was my very first visit to the ELKs Lodge in Duarte ca. I recommend this venue for people that are in a budget to have a quinceanera . Great customer service, friendly , kinda.”
“Wonderful Thrift Shop with all kinds of very reasonable finds. Clothing to toys and knick knacks and even some jewelry and more. I believe the ladies are volunteers and they're always helpful and pleasant. You won't go out empty-handed.”
“The Whittier Chamber of Commerce has helped me so much. They proved a scholarship program when I was going through college, and have helped the family company I work for, Southland Window Cleaning Company, to gain more business! We are endlessly grateful for their partnership. If you're trying to grow your business, the Whittier Chamber is a great resource to join!”
“A very kind, welcoming and fun community! I attended their zine fest recently. I’m happy to have been able to visit and participate in the arts here! I wish more people knew about this great spot! ?”
“My husband and I had our wedding here in March 2025 - absolutely beautiful venue! The existing furniture and decor meant we didn't have to spruce up the place too much ourselves plus saved us some money on table/chair rentals, and we loved that we were able to bring in all our own choices of vendors. The getting ready area upstairs is beautiful and very spacious as well. We had about 65 guests - the max for the venue is 120, but I think it would be pretty crowded at that number. For 65 it was perfect. We had access to the venue the day before for set-up and rehearsal which was super helpful, and we and our coordinator had a very easy time working with the groundskeeper for day-of logistics. The 3D tour on the website is very accurate and helped us a lot when planning between site visits. I definitely recommend Shakespeare Club for your small to medium size events and weddings!”
“Great neighborhood park with soccer and softball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, community compost, and a recreation center with swimming pool. Every Tuesday morning, there’s a farmers market where the friendly honey guy always has treats for doggies. (Thank you!) There are no poop bag dispensers, and the doggie drinking fountain always seems to be broken, but there are nice paved walking paths and grassy fields to frolic in.”
“I love bringing my elderly Auntie here, and she loves it too. We always grab a bit of lunch when we come to do some light shopping, and the food is great. My Aunt has been coming here for years and feels really comfortable so there is no need to go anywhere else. This is a great place to come (especially on a hot day) to eat, shop, relax and watch the world go by!”
