I meet the same problem as last 1 star review:The young guy talk really impolite when I came to withdraw my own money , the way he talked to me seem like I came to beg his money . Then he told me : oh , we don’t have that much money. I surprise why ? The bank ? My own money…. Then he explained I can not withdraw because the check I did deposit not clear yet but the way he explain to me not really he work in the bank and not nice . I don’t come to that bank anymore untill he no more working there . I have been had account for 6 years with this bank and always cost to that branch inside the Walmart of Rosemead city . Before people work in there very nice but now ….. Really worse attitude!!I remember before Julie and her teammates so nice and work very good , after they gone now real bad !!

stay aaway from US bank. You can read other negative reviews if you dont believe me. They are FRAUD. 6 months ago, I opened a checking account with U.S. Bank. The term was for me to get $350 bonus after direct-deposting for 3 months. After 6 months, U.S. Bank did not provide me the credit as promised, so I closed the account. First, U.S bank charged me $36 for closing the account. Then they closed it and sent me a check with my remaining balance. Now, after a month of closing, the bank suddenly stated there were pending transactions at the time I closed the account, and now are posted?!?. And because I had no balance on my account, US bank charged me $36 fee for each transaction causing me to be overdraft for more than $200 in fees and $43 in transactions. This is fraudulent business. How could the bank not see pending transactions at the time of closing until a month later

This review is specifically for the branch inside the Walmart in Montebello. At 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday February 18 I realized I was short on cash. I was traveling out of town so I stopped in Walmart to use the ATM. The machine went through the whole process, including telling me my balance and approving my withdrawal, but then wouldn't give me back my card! Eventually it said "Your card is being retained." OK but it gets worse... A couple of minutes later a Walmart employee went through the same thing. Lost her card! The counter didn't open until 10:00 so I left and came back later. The counter didn't open until 10:15 so already I'm not in the best of moods. Meanwhile someone else came up and lost their card, and someone waiting in line said it happened to him too! That's at least 4 so far. When I finally got to talk to someone she said, "if your card is not a U.S. Bank card, the machine will shred it." After a stunned moment of silence I said, "Would you at least put a sign on it so it doesn't keep happening?" She actually replied, "Well it was working yesterday." "It's not working now!" and I stepped away before they called security. As I called my bank I watched ANOTHER person lose their card, with the teller standing there within plain sight ignoring the situation. When I finally left they had still not put an out of order sign on the machine. Never again...

Hadn't had a checking account for years, and wasn't sure I could get one because of a bad mark on my SCAN report. Joanna Ho, the Lead Branch Manager, got me set up and very thoroughly explained everything I needed to know, plus I received an ATM card I could start using immediately. Add to that getting $300 from the bank for opening an account in July and setting up direct deposit! Joanna's the most helpful person I've EVER met in a bank, and I'm 69! This is a tiny branch in Walmart, so sometimes there's a wait, but the tellers are very efficient.

I do not recommend US Bank. I have a few issues with them already. I went to one location to remove a co signer, but then the employee that was there ended up feeling sick and they didn't have anyone else to help. That location was out of the way for me and the co-signer, but since they have very few branches we both made the trip out there. Since they didn't have any staff available to help us we ended up just cancelling there and later re-opened it at the location in Walmart. I called ahead to make sure they had someone who could help us. The person who answered was going to initially refuse service since they "only had 2 people there" and she didn't want to leave her coworker alone. So basically they wanted to turn us away because they wanted to be able to help other customers. After I informed them I previously had an account and it shouldn't take very long for them to re-open it they told me I could come in. I ended up opening it since I had the account before anyways, but the computer had issues where they couldn't add the beneficiaries. I was told to come another day, which I did today. Then they told me that only the supervisor can search the names of the people since the profile was already created and they didn't have any accounts. I find that ridiculous due to the fact I know they could search for the name without a supervisor since I used to work for US Bank. Second of all, they are causing an inconvenience to the customer, which seems to be common practice for US Bank. I will not be doing any business with this bank again. They always seem to be short on staff and give bad customer service. I am very disappointed with the customer service they provided and can't believe how much it has changed. You have been warned.
