I just left ACE hardware. 11/1/2025 @9:30am
Horrible customer service. Poor business practice. Went to use their $10 coupon on a purchase only to be told I couldn’t use it on a sale item. No where under terms and conditions on coupon did it say it only applied to regular priced item.
The cashier and manager both stood there staring at the coupon on my app for a few mins neither of them could find the language. After I told them it was false advertisement, all of a sudden the narrative changed and the manager said the reason they couldn’t honor the coupon was because it was a ‘corporate coupon’. So which is it? They gave me 2 conflicting reasons as to why they couldn’t honor the coupon.
I wanted to support small business hence not ordering item on Amazon and made a special trip to ACE and have always supported this particular location. Not anymore. I’ll be sure to share this unfortunate experience with all my friends and followers on all social media platforms. It wasn’t the savings I’m upset about rather the poor/deceptive business practice that should make any customer upset. Our family has spent A LOT of money at this particular location. Just lost a loyal customer.

Pretty good hardware store, large selection, staff friendly and helpful, entrances into the parking lot could be easier off hwy 49...

Nice store, attentive employees and good selection. Sadly the Democrats in CA have made consumer prices out of line with to many regulations on businesses, costs for minimum wages are way to high and CA government is no friendly with companies. It makes the consumer shopping experience poor and goods are simply unaffordable for DIY work any longer.

We found a 100 foot hose so I can water the roses down the driveway (as we don’t have sprinklers on that side of the driveway!)

Ace is the place. I love this hardware store. Every employee seems to enjoy working there and helping the customers. I wish this store was in Lincoln. However, ill make the trip back just to shop at their store

Wish I could give this place a zero just came out of this store looking at paint samples waiting for my (Native American)boyfriend to get out of the bathroom and over hear several staff members mocking native Americans calling them and I quote “murderous” in regards to the upcoming which is no longer referred to as Columbus Day but now indigenous peoples day and they were slandering natives and tribes infront of customers and when I brought it up to a women who worked there when I requested to speak to a manager she completely dismissed me and was incredibly disrespectful there is no excuse for this behavior or lack of respect and professionalism in an establishment.

I recently moved to this location and became a first time shopper at Ace Hardware. I purchased a grill here and many other BBQ accessories. I had a really great experience and made this my go to spot for my BBQ needs.
Today my family and I were discriminated against. I went to this store with my wife and 6 month old baby. My wife was told to leave her purse/bag at the counter for some odd reason. My wife has brought this purse with her when we shopped here multiple times before and were never told to leave it at the counter.
The manager Heather was extremely rude and hand picked us out of all the other customers who entered. I don’t know if it’s the color of our skin but it definitely felt that way. There were even other customers whose purse/bag was bigger but they were able to hold onto it. There was no customer service to call to leave a complaint and no manager on duty to file my complaint according to Heather. She states the store is privately owned which is why there is no corporate number.
This left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never be going back to this store. I’ll just spend my money elsewhere.
I do hope there will be some disciplinary action against Heather but don’t think anything will come of this.

visited Roseville Ace Hardware at 7:56 PM to make some copies of keys for my business, but what should have been a routine errand quickly turned into a terrible experience. Despite arriving before the store officially closed at 8:00 PM, I was met with hostility from two employees, Troy and long hair coworker,
Instead of assisting me, they both made a series of excuses about how it was "almost 8 o'clock" and how I should have come earlier. Their attitudes were shockingly unprofessional. They acted as if my request was a major inconvenience and made it clear they didn't want to help me. The situation escalated quickly--both employees became increasingly aggressive and even yelled at me. Their behavior was so hostile that I felt physically threatened, as if they were ready to attack me.
This was a truly horrible experience, and I would not recommend this location to anyone based on how I was treated. Customer service should never be like this. Roseville Ace Hardware needs to seriously address the conduct of their employees, especially Troy long-haired coworker The store usually higher than Home Depot prices so it has horrible value unless your in a rush doesn't have a large selection of things I made the wrong choice come here oh and this is a cherry on top of it. The three employees told me it doesn’t matter who you complain to because the store is individually owned. Well, there goes supporting your small businesses.

They had my items in stock. Employee didn’t know where it was.
Then zero communication flip flopping sides of register picks then he disappeared.
They’re trying and had what I needed so 3 out of 5.
It was on the way but now I see it’s worth it to go to my regular Ace on Madison and fair oaks and Madison and greenback.
In a hurry these things matter to business owners. I’ll shop where service is more to my liking.

Ace hardware is a hidden gem - we all know however manly you are going to Lowes and Home Depot always sucks but Ace has quality tools and way better service and easier to find stuff although it’s smaller
