Well, I posted a 1-star review of this CU a couple weeks ago that got the attention of someone over there. I responded to the employee via LinkedIn and was able to express my concerns. I was told someone would look into my situation. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email from someone in management and was notified that my application had been reviewed and my account successfully opened. Over the next couple of days I got emails confirming my account was open and my new credit card would be sent to me via US Mail. I'll give 4 stars at this point, to replace my previous 1-star review. Thank you, Nicole Dunn, for getting the ball rolling on making this right.

I've been with first Tech credit union for many years and find they're Brock and mortar bank is always staffed with very competent helpful people. I might agree though with others that the phone service needs work and delays can be long. This site in Roseville has just been remodeled it's very nice and has private rooms to execute your banking in. I recently purchased a car and got great help from Richard. He walked me through the sales process with the seller and provided all the key paperwork we needed to process the sale including the DMV work. Unfortunately it seems many members do not have access to an actual branch and have to use the phone service which may be staffed third-party?? I do like the First Tech mobile app for monitoring my funds and moving money around And depositing checks with a photograph process. This seems to work quite well.

I been with the credit union for the past 40 years, and I'm always very satisfied with the customer service until today. The name of the customer representative is Shalante, worst representative I have ever encounter. I asked her to email me a copy of my checking and savings account for the month of June. She first told that I should be able to access it via my computer, I explained to her that I don't have a computer, I have an IPad and for whatever reasons I'm not able to print my statements. That in the past I get them via email on a secure account . She then told me there was a cost, I told her that I was never charged for having it email my statement. (In my 40 years with the credit union I have only request my statement four times). She then start asking every single question on earth, when I told her that she had poor customer service and that I felt I was being harass by her, she then put me on hold, then she came on line, I told her that I want to talk with her supervisor, she put me on hold for ten minutes, twice, to tell me that her supervisor was not available, that this was a call center and that it was after hours. I then told her to hang up so I could do the survey of her poor performance and she would not hang up for twenty minutes. People like her should not be doing this kind of work, is what gives the credit union a bad reputation and reason for customers to take their business someplace else.

horrible customer service, representative.but poorly trained. no one seems to have accountability for providing accurate answers. online tools don’t work. ineffective processes. member since 1986. with a lot of money deposited there. still poor service. no matter how painful i’ll be moving to another bank.

I'm sort of picky with my money, I'm not sure why not everybody is. When a credit card company is unable to do simple things like change your address when you have called numerous times and talked to a banker about your address change, it becomes extremely frustrating not being able to access your money and being accused of fraud. If this credit card company weren't so complicated and difficult to deal with I would have left two years ago.

You know what is interesting. After people find out that this is the bank that is mainly for the people that like to take care of themselves and are intelligent. Aggressors get mad because the employees like to focus on the customers needs, rather than using them as a pawn. They are better at persuading than manipulating, which is hard to find at different banks. I witnessed someone get their vehicle stolen across the street at another bank which may be the reason why this bank is being targeted because of jealousy and envy. I have actually been in Roseville since the 4th grade, and I am now 28. I have had friends work here and their is a reason why I have stayed at First Tech Federal Credit Union rather than switching to another company. The security does not play around with anyone, they will handle any situation.

This credit union is trash. Save yourself and bank anywhere else. They used to be good but the last two years, mobile banking doesn’t work, you can transfer your funds, they did a random credit review that lowered a large percentage of their holders credit limit and put a lot of people over credit limit and severely impacted credit scores. I tried to call in about not being able to transfer funds and you go through an automated messaging system for it to just hang up on you every time. It has been a complete nightmare. The fact that I moved to another city and literally pulled out cash because I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get to my funds is sad.
