I tried twice to open an account here. I understood the issue the first time was no proof of address. We had just moved to the area. I was told closing documents would suffice. Returning with closing docs AND the matching check drawn from that very credit union office, was then told no, that won’t do it either. Very nice, but stupid.

I am a member of a different credit union, but the SAFE branch is very close to my house. I popped in to ask them to break a $20 bill. I didn't need to withdraw anything. I had the cash and just needed smaller denominations. She asked for my member ID, but when I mentioned the other credit union where I banked she said she could not help me because they are not reciprocal. She refused to help at all and would not break my $20. (As a side note my husband used to work for our current credit union and said she absolutely could/should have been able to help me)

I came in today to make a new account after having issues with golden one. I decided I need to have a different bank right away as I walked in I was greeted and the girl who helped me. Tiffany was very nice and was able to help me make a new account within minutes we decided on the free checking and savings account for me since that would fit my financial needs, she was very sweet took her time and asked me before I left if I had any more questions and even showed me how to download the safe credit Union app and how to sign onto it she went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience really happy with her exceptional customer service skills She was awesome. I am very happy that I was able to open up an account and be in an out this was an awesome, smooth process. This location is a newer location. It's very large very nice very friendly staff. This is definitely a bank that everybody should check out given the fact that it's a credit union you could pull money from golden one and they will not charge a fee on it. They made my transaction very easy they were able to transfer my funds from the golden one into my new account. I was happy with my experience. I am really glad they were able to accommodate me given the fact it was a weekend that made my weekend even better. I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking to get a new bank account. They are awesome. Plus they have really great auto loans definitely a place to check out. I will definitely be coming back here again very soon from work future visits and we're great experiences to come Tiffany you're awesome. Thank you so much for everything you did. I appreciate you. My visit to the Safe Credit Union was great! But my only issue is that I find in most Safe Branch locations is a weird and musty smell when you enter its never inviting kinda like a collection tray on a old refrigerator that has a small leak.Overall it was a good visit the lady Tiffany was helpful and was able to help me process my request so I could get my banking stuff done without having to go to another bank So much Appreciated!!Thank you!

My initial visit inside your branch was fine. I was told I would get a follow up call and received none. I did my due diligence and called up twice during business hours and waited on hold for 13 minutes on one call and over 11 minutes on another call before I gave up. I also made the attempt to use your chat with no reply. I'm sure you do good work however your follow ups and communication abilities are extremely poor.

I cannot describe how unresponsive this institution is, I have called so many times, opened the chat up etc. And no response, I am on hold forever. I have multiple business accounts and personal accounts, and I am moving everything to Chase Bank because they answer my call in 30 seconds. Unlike Safe Credit Union. At Safe, I need account numbers, call id numbers, pin numbers all kinds of information to get connected with someone about my account. I personally see no value in credit unions and none in this one. Do I really have to walk into your branch to get something simple solved?

Here is the thing with Safe Credit Union. Safe itself is a great bank, it has been in the area for years and I love it. The center itself, is not that great. There is always something that is broken, the ATM, the card creating machine, something. It's like going to the Mcdonald's and being told that the ice cream machine is broken. Always happens, but you gotta come back.

They are horrible after the computer "upgrade" they combined multiple accounts with out saying anything , changed accounts for the bill pay, lost a large deposit that has been recurring for over a year and is blaming the other bank even though the other bank clear shows sending it to safe they can't find it didn't really care well Monday I'll call the sending bank to track the deposit and open a new somewhere else since the upgrade they've been nothing but trouble long lines long holds on the telephone and asking for patience my patience is gone and now too my business

Convenient location I've heard of shared branching between credit unions but I was skeptical of using the ATM machine. I have done small ATM withdrawals at this location in the past and it processed nicely but I wanted to make a cash deposit and preferred to have a bank teller help me. I am not a member of SAFE CU and they were open until 6:00p (where my bank closes at 5:00p and sometimes their ATM's do not accept deposits). I was assisted by a friendly associate and he asked for my account number. My bank card and CDL was not enough for him to process the transaction. Um, I didn't know it by heart but he waited patiently and was able to help me as soon as I was able to pull up a pdf copy of my bank statement from my phone. I feel good that I am able to use SAFE CU as an option when I am unable to make it to my branch. The extended closing hours help especially when there is only a short window of time between when I get off work and the bank closing time. SAFE CU is acronym for Sacramento Air Force Employees Credit Union. This branch is conveniently located in the Crocker Ranch Safeway shopping plaza. Review #2439

I've been waiting on the phone for an hour now, no automated offer to call back, repeating reel on phone is soo annoying . I gave my daughter a set amount of money for a trip and my card has been frozen!!!! Frozen no courtesy call from the bank just frozen . If this doesn't change I will leave and go back to my old bank, this is my money I can use it as I see fit.

They take debit card from other credit unions which is a huge plus!! Yet I haven't stood nor gotten inside. All in all, it is just okay

ATM never work weekend till Monday morning 10:30 , don't want to deposit money to teller inside, because Covid-19 pandemic ? have to drive another bank ATM , waste time & fuel ???
