I brought my ski equipment here awhile back ago to get some new bindings mounted on my skis which I purchased from an online retailer in 2023. Besides parking being a little tricky. I was extremely fond & happy with the service and professionalism the ski snowboard shop offered. I think I paid around a total of $25 or so for the alpine ski mount. Which really isn't bad and totally beats down the hill prices these days considering for what it's worth. Anyway, I also noticed the shop was reasonably priced for gloves, beanies; "anything last minute you may have forgot or needed for your fun trip" in the category of winter sports recreation gear. The owner was very friendly, attentive, and professional, whereas, he greeted me immediately upon walking in. He had me in and out of there in little to no-time. Overall the customer experience was terrific and I strongly recommend this ski shop to anyone headed to Big Bear or Snow Valley ski resorts. If you are needing to get your equipment worked on, (skis, snowboards, hot waxed) they specialize in both with their techs. I did notice they have a good lineup of rentals upon walking in and we're reasonably priced for what they charged. And they close late enough for night skiing they do at Snow Valley. They really seem to do it all. I would give them 10/10 stars if it were possible for total customer satisfaction. For a small business, and locally owned. This ski shop and the owner are Rockstars ! They sure knew how to meet my personal needs. Highly, highly recommend! Note: If you are headed to the Snow Valley Resort, this would be your best & closest option for a ski shop off Highway 18 since it's the one closest to the ski resort.

We got here in the morning on the first day that snow valley opened its resort. I got the snowboarding package and snow pants (love that they also rent out clothing if you need them). The staff helping us were super friendly and patient and made the entire process super smooth! They also do repairs so if you have your own equipment that needs adjustments, they can help with that too! It's at a very convenient location about 10 minutes away from the actual resort and they close at 5pm (an hour after the resort closes) and they also have lockers outside if you do come back after they close. Overall really positive experience and customer service was great! Will Be back!

We had a great time in Snow Valley and the owner of this shop was super friendly and quickly helped us get our gear and get up on the slopes. We all definitely plan to come back with their 15% off rentals coupon they gave us on our next visits and I appreciated how he was able to help us although many people were closed due to the snow weather closing off major highways around the area. Thank you!!!

During a quick Google Search for equipment rentals near Snow Valley Resort, I found that Above and Beyond sports had some of the most affordable rental prices in the area. Given that I've heard lots of places sell out of equipment rentals on holiday weekends, I booked a reservation about a month in advance. Pros-Reservations- Their reservation process was quick and easy, just an online form indicating which sizes you need and if you want snowboards or skis. Their staff was super quick to reply stating that everything had been reserved. Nice and easy process! Distance to snow valley- it's about a 20 min drive with traffic. Very convenient. Availability of gear- they have extra snow pants, jackets, beanies, and gloves for purchase if you need any! They had low price points and fancier brands as well. I got a pair of water proof gloves for $20. Returns- super easy return process- you give back your equipment and they return your rental agreement info and written credit card info back to you. Cons- Inefficiency- getting assistance day of our reservation in the shop was difficult. It took us about 1.5 hours to purchase our rental gear- mind you, there was a line of only about 10-15 people ahead of us. Mind you it was a holiday weekend so of course it was busy, but you'd think they would have multiple cashiers for efficiency.Communication- In listening to the interactions between the cashier and other customers, communication was not so clear or friendly on what was available and not available. The people in front of us were so confused it took maybe ten minutes to understand which goggles and helmets were still available and which ones they wanted, and to complete their purchase. Also after they had sold out completely, they didn't post any notices outside, so people continued coming to wait in line for 10-15 minutes until a staff came around to let them know they were sold out. Security- After completing your purchase on their iPad, they write your full credit card information on a piece of paper- full credit card number, security code, etc, as an assurance that you'll be charged if you don't return equipment at the end of the day. There must be a more secure option for charging for non returns because that does not seem secure at all. You'd think that if you have an online payment system you'd have a way to add an extra charge for non-returns. Something to improve on for sure.Cleanliness- our rental shoes absolutely reeked. When I was putting them on, I could smell them. Not sure if this is normal, but they didn't seem to be sanitized or deodorized previously.

It was an extremely busy day up in Snow Valley Resort with all the rentals sold out and luckily, we came across Above and Beyond and they were able to help us out. All the staff is very friendly and hardworking. Tip is optional but I always do. There was a long line ahead (about 5-6 people) of us but it moved very fast and was out probably in less than 20 min. As for the selections, they'll have your basic packages that will include board and bindings or the option to choose a higher end board (Salomon Huck knife). They have amazing deals on lift tickets as well for Snow Valley. There is plenty of parking as their shop is located in a mall about 5 miles before the Snow Valley Resort.

Great shop! They have everything you need. They even had lockers outside to drop off rental equipment after hours which was so nice. We were in and out in about 15 minutes.

Came up on a busy Saturday, without reservations, and the entire team was hustling to find us (and the 20+ other people in line) gear. Gear was great, customer service was five stars, we will be back!

We've rented here twice and had great experiences both times. Friendly and helpful service. We came with a large group but we had reserved online. They had everything ready for us to try on when we arrived and quickly adjusted sizes as needed. Very understanding and accommodating even with a group of kids.
