Honest, reliable,friendly,intelligent,and timely. Over the years we have had nothing but incredible work done on our vehicles. My kids, my friends, all of us owe Don and his crew nothing but praise and thanks. We are extremely fortunate to have them on the mountain taking care of our vehicles.

Don's Garage~September 2025
BEWARE the garage is NOT AAA Rated.
We are full-timers, 35 years, in the SB Mountains. We have used Don's Towing Service throughout the years, NEVER any problems. Recently my 2007 VW went into their garage. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE!!! Before DonJr. bothered to check-out my car in person, going by hearsay ONLY, he ordered an alternator. Come to find out I needed a new battery ONLY which was installed. HOWEVER, DonJr. still charged me a $200.00 restocking fee regardless of the fact. I am requesting, for the '3rd' & last time, a receipt or proof that the part was delivered to his garage. He won't show me any paperwork nor did he provide an invoice on the work performed on the vehicle. All I received was the credit card receipt for the work which was well over $700.00. My 2 requests have not only gone unanswered thus far but DonJr. went on a very defensive wild rabid rant over the phone with me, when I called him. I could not get a word in, then his true UNPROFESSIONAL self hung-up on me.
I have never been inside any courthouse in all my 65 years but as the saying goes, 'there's a first time for everything', Sure hope he does the HONORABLE thing, and fulfills my 2 requests for the receipts. After all, those who have NOTHING to hide, hide nothing! Incase you're wondering their (fake) smiles & 'friendliness' is a BIG front. They truly don't give a rats ass about the customer. It's all about taking advantage of the paying customer. $ $ $.
In a nutshell, save yourself the misery, steer clear of Don's Garage on Pine Cone Drive in Running Springs, Ca.

If you are looking for Quality Work, Integrity & Honesty, steer clear of Don's Garage in Running Springs.
It's NOT a Triple A rated garage, their tow truck driver told me it was, the only reason I went there.
I highly recommend 'Jim's Auto Service' in Top Town Crestline. They get the job done RIGHT. Unlike DonJr. & Bill, Nate & his wife, at Jim's Automotive, don't (have to) 'pretend' to be good sincere honest people.
Don's Garage could learn a lesson from them.

Truly a life saving company. A mile from their shop, I was leaving the gas station when my battery stopped abruptly. After calling Don's shop, they were able to pick me up in minutes, replace my terminal and have me up and running in less than 30 minutes.
Very professional, knowdlegdable, and overalll great guys!

Our tire blew out on the 330. Sebastian arrived within an hour to tow us. With no spare we were having a hard time finding a shop with the tire we needed in stock. Sebastian called around and we were in luck. Friendly, professional guy. Thank you!

Fast response when I needed them, these guys were very helpful..
my truck broke down while 4 wheeling in the big bear mountains.
They towed my truck all the way to LB.
Will recommend to everyone!

Dons auto and towing saved the day.
We broke down on the way to BB for a day of snowboarding.
Tow truck driver Sebastian was prompt and called with updates frequently.
Got to use with in 20 min. The mechanic fixed the
Problem. We had our day in BB and picked up the repaired vehicle and headed home with only a few hundred out of pocket 😂 such is life. 10/10 recommend!

Great and friendly service. My husband and I needed a jump and we needed a new battery. Tow came and jumped the car. They had the battery in stock and installed it in about an hour. Thankful I didn’t have to go down the hill. Wonderful service.

Don's Auto was fabulous! We needed a tow from just below Running Springs on our way to Big Bear. Will, our driver could not have been nicer and more professional. The crew at Don's worked so hard to help us on our way to our vacation, and found a great solution. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Don's!!
