Love the location and the cabin BUT the mattress was horrible, couldn’t sleep 😴 well cuz the mattress was done, it was a memory foam mattress so no Lumbar support one sank into. My wife and I woke up multiple times cuz of the mattress. I let them know via text but never got a respond back, do plan to go back but gonna make sure the mattress is in good condition.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was initially a bit concerned. However, a friend and I booked a double queen cabin, and we loved it here. The outdoor views are STUNNING, and the cabins are spread out enough that you have privacy and definitely don't feel like you're on top of your neighbors. The cabin had everything we needed, and we were very comfortable. The pillows are godawful (flat, no support), and it'd be easier to get in and out of the shower without the glass door, but those are my main complaints. I loved the layout and amenities; we had plenty of towels, plenty of hooks, cooking amenities, books, a deck of cards, a radio, mirror, comfortable tabletop and seating. Although we did stay in a cabin with two queen beds, I wouldn't recommend trying to fit more than 2 people in a cabin at one time. I loved it here and I'm looking forward to coming back!

We chose this place for our 11th anniversary.
Absolutely amazing! We’ll definitely come back again!
The only downside is the campfire ban, but that’s for safety reasons — and I completely understand.

We had a truly peaceful and beautiful stay at Postcard Cabins. The location is stunning — surrounded by nature, with the most breathtaking views from the bed. The cabin had everything we needed for a cozy and relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here for 2 nights with my dog and a friend. Upon arrival, there was a weird odor in the cabin. It smelled kind of old/musty, which may be the plumbing. Anyway, the beds were pretty comfy, but the pillows were not. It kept getting flat and was straining my neck. It was enough space for 2 people. My biggest complaint though was the shower water doesn’t stay warm for very long. I ended up taking a cold shower. Overall, I don’t think this was really worth it for the price. this is the last time I fall for an Instagram-y place that really wasn’t all that great. Also, we didn’t get to use the firepit due to the weather, but charging $7 for a s’mores kit is crazy. They should at least include that for what we pay already.

Good location and easy of the freeway at a height of about 6250 feet .
Just for your information there is No internet if it’s an issue for you but ideally that’s the idea of getaway .
Tv is not there as there is a nature connection is there .
There is no microwave or coffee machine
here so plan accordingly , instead there is electric cooking pad that should be good for cooking . Cell phone connecting is fine but could be shaky depending on the carrier . It’s not place to remote work if you are wondering. 🤔

This place used to be amazing, when it was Getaway Cabins. They had multi-night packs you could buy, but as others have stated, now that Marriot bought them out, they no longer do the multi pack nights you could purchase, and the price point is outrageous for what it is. Upwards of $400 a night is insane.

MJ is the best. Extremely great problem solving and customer services. Bosses give her a reward!

Completely unprofessional and irresponsible.
We arrived a bit late for check-in, only to find that our assigned cabin had already been given to someone else. We got this notice after check-in time. This led to an unnecessary and uncomfortable conflict with the guests occupying what was supposed to be our unit.
On top of that, we were charged twice.
When we asked for an explanation, they didn’t apologize — just refunded the extra charge as if nothing had happened. It honestly feels like they run the place with a “try and get away with it” mindset, hoping people won’t notice overcharges.
To make things even worse, the inside of the cabin was disgusting.
Dog hair was everywhere, on the floor, the furniture — even in the bedding. It made us seriously question whether the sheets were even washed between guests. Completely unacceptable level of cleanliness.
This place is a mess — untrustworthy, dirty, and absolutely not worth your money.

We have used the Cabins located in the Big Bear area a couple of times now, and the main reason we returned was the location. However, there is significant room for improvement when compared to other 'log-hut' and 'cabin' experiences we've had across the California coast, Oregon, and Washington.
I want to be upfront — I am being critical here because Postcard Cabin (formerly Getaway Cabins) charges premium prices, and if you want to compete in that segment, you must deliver a premium experience.
The bathrooms are unnecessarily cramped. A simple curtain and raised platform would save space compared to the bulky glass door currently installed. The water heater desperately needs an upgrade — running out of hot water after six minutes is unacceptable. Look at what competitors are offering.
The heating system in the rooms is also extremely sensitive, making it hard to maintain a comfortable temperature. We ended up cracking a window open overnight — in the middle of winter — just to balance it out.
Lastly, the platform beds urgently need better ergonomics. Without a mattress holder (even a simple 2x4 at the foot of the bed), the mattress slides down the glossy wood surface overnight, causing the pillows to sink into the platform. It’s a basic fix that would greatly improve the comfort level.
In short, the location is great, but at these price points, the cabins themselves should be much better thought out.

Very clean, cute idea, loved the nature factor. The travel time to town was not as advertised. There was also no mirror in the cabin, and the hot water was luke warm at its hottest, not ideal for cold morning showers. There is cabins closer to town with comparable pricing, but if you're looking to completely disconnect, then this is the place.
