I had a concern and reached out to Amerigas to no avail. Sometimes later, contacted me about their services and I informed them about our concern and disappointment. She promised that she will look into it and get back to me. Six months later, I am still waiting for her response.

The person I spoke with on the phone was VERY NICE and took care of canceling our service. Over the last week, we have called 3+ times to get propane delivered and each time were reassured that it would come that day or the next. An "escalation" was sent, but no one ever showed up. We CANNOT run a business like that. We have decided to use another supplier. We requested that you come pick up your items.Thank you,

Camporas prices arw litwrally a quarter of what amerigas is. And they do not charge installation fees. And the biggest plus is when you call them you are not talking to someone on the other side of the world. They actually have local customer service. Do not go with amerigas you will hate it. They are a mess.

I just had THE most bizarre experience... I just bought a new propane tank, so I called Valcon and asked what is the current price of propane. The guy asks, are you in Washington or Idaho? I say Idaho, and he says $1.85 per gallon, and I say thank you.Then I call Amerigas and ask the same question. The guy says, what is your name and phone number, and I say WHY? I just want to know the price of propane. He says he needs to "verify my identity first" and I say WHY? Are you going to sell it to my neighbor at a different price? I just want to know how much per gallon in northern Idaho. He refuses, says he needs to verify my identity first. WAIT, WHAT? I say, no wait, I am actually calling for my neighbor, and HE wants to know the price... Nope, gotta verify identity. So now, just out of curiosity, I verify my name and phone number. And then he says... Okay, and please verify your mailing address and email address... OHHH MY GOSH WOW!! REALLY??? Okay, so I do it, I tell him my address, etc. FINALLY, he says it is $3.85 per gallon!!!!! WOW!!!! AND THEN!!! AFTER THAT!!! I asked my secretary to call and pretend to be a new customer, and they quote her $1.63 per gallon!!!! I HATE YOU AMERIGAS, YOU THIEVES!!!REPLY TO THE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER: Are you kidding? That response is nonsensical! Did you READ the part where my secretary was quoted $1.63 per gallon? (She called back and yes, that is for first filling, after that it goes up to $1.93 per gallon). WHY DO YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME LITERALLY DOUBLE THE PRICE? $3.85? HOW DARE YOU TRY TO PRETEND THAT THIS IS OKAY!!! YOU ARE THIEVES TRYING TO RIP ME OFF!!! I am disgusted!!! Please everybody, CALL VALCON! THEY ARE HONEST!

They tried to pick up a tank after a year and a half of closing our account. Amerigas doesn't own the tank, yet they wanted to take it.

There is reason why it's closed down. You will never be able to speak to any direct employee. If equipments become fault, good luck getting it fixed. Had been with them for over 20 years but the drove me out.

This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. We initially tried to renew our account and fill up our tank back in February of this year, but they said they needed to do a leak test before they could fill up the tank. We waited for a month for them to call us back and even schedule the leak test, and that was after I called them to put in a priority request numerous times. We were without hot water, during snow storms, for two months because they did not come out to do the leak test and fill up our tank when we requested. They didn't even give us the courtesy of calling us to check in or give an update, every person I spoke with had no knowledge or capability of how to fulfill my request. After this whole ordeal, my husband and I decided to cancel our account with Amerigas entirely because of how careless and negligent they had been and they tried to charge us almost $500 in fees for services they never even provided! I finally talked with someone who helped to remove the charges except for the pick-up fee, which was $150. And even after paying that fee and closing the account, they sent us two other bills. And now I have had to make multiple calls trying to remove that fee from our already closed account that I had payed off. I have had to deal with this nonsense for months now, and it still isn't fully resolved. This company is so mismanaged and absolutely horrible! I hope that I never have to deal with them ever again.We switched to Thompson Gas and they have been amazing! David came very promptly to replace our propane tank with one of theirs and has called multiple times when they've been in the area to see if we needed our tank filled up. I'd suggest going to Thompson Gas instead of amerigas any day!

Horrible company to deal with. Please keep in mind all their horrific fees. When stopping service with them they will refund you for the propane in the tank. but then bill you for stop service fee of $320 total & also bill the new tenants the cost of the propapne they've refunded you. Stay away, go with a different company

Your customer service department is out sourced outside the US and they hardly speak English. I called 4 times to figure out why your company had failed to deliver gad 4 times in a row. My family ran out of propane by the time your driver finally showed up. I will be going with another propane provider.

I have been a customer of Amerigas for the last 8 years and I have never had as bad of an experience as I have in the last few weeks. I had a home inspection done and the report said they smelled some propane. I call in, and yes it's now to a Philippines call center as others have reported. They tell me I'm going to be charged $100 if I ask for a technician to come out, so the better thing to do is just wait for my normal delivery which should be in a few days. So I wait a few weeks, I call back in and ask when they will be showing up bc I may have a small leak. This time the guy says "oh a leak? We can have someone come out immediately!" At no charge I ask, "yes no charge!" So first thing I get is a $109 bill and ZERO communication that it was fixed. I call in pretty upset and I get transferred to a "manager" who obviously was an American. She was sympathetic and agree it was unacceptable and told me someone will get dispatched immediately to fix itS. So no one is home because we both work, we find out that the technician who originally showed up shut off our propane as well as locked it. Had no idea until we realized we had no hot water. So the next guy shows up a day later and actually was nice, we asked for our tank to be filled 50% because we are selling the home. He said no problem, I will put that order in. Guess what, they show up the next day and fill the tank 100%. We ask what happened and they said "oh. No one communicated that's what you wanted." This is the WORST customer service experience I've had in years, from a company who used to be alright in my book. If I weren't selling my home I would 100% be leaving this company, I don't care about cost either. If this were a few years ago I'd be giving anyone I know a positive recommendation. If you're reading this review choose ANY other company over Amerigas. Or you'll end up paying for it later. The 1 star reviews I just read before writing this one confirms my experience is not an isolated one.

Track your meter readings. Do not expect any help from the (outsourced) customer service department. They are USELESS. 1) they talk over you, 2) they do not listen and 3) they do not care or wish to help you. You are on your own. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Had great experience with this company. We usually use a mom and pop but needed a quick turn around which they couldn't accommodated with a 2 week lead time . Called Amerigas they were able to get the Gas out with in 2 days. Highly recommend !!!

I placed an order for 250 gallons for our church and was told it would be delivered on time. I called back three days later to confirm delivery and was told that there wasn't any order placed. I then place another order under for an emergency fill. Mike told me that they would be out that same day to fill out tank. Later in the afternoon, our Reverend call to verify they were still coming to make delivery, and they assured him they are coming out that same day. However, that day past and we did not received a delivery of propane as promised. We are now looking for another provider. We have been a customer with America's for many many years, but no more. They can not be trusted to provide the service they promised to deliver.

If you use Amerigas you should switch right now or be stung later.I have used then for 15 years but their communication and service now has fallen off a cliff. They ran me out of gas and the people in the Philippians who manage customer service have no ability to help you. NONE!AWFUL COMPANY. NO communication at all.
