BEWARE!This is a corporate company that puts revenue above the well being of your pet. Veterinarians fill in from all over and aren’t always there. Which means if it is somewhat urgent you might have to wait! Staff is nice but seems to be stretched thin. Pricing is inflated and not transparent. The wellness plans are questionable. Best bet go find a real Veterinary Office who is always available with a caring staff.

Been going there for about nine years with my Pet who is on their Benfield plan. Pets care is great. I have no doubt in that. However, front office communication with their clients, not so good..

I've tried calling this location several times over the last few months and they never answer the phone. Very strange when during business hours and other times, the phone rings and just drops. I don't get it, but if they can't answer the phone I wouldn't bring my dog here.

The worst welness plan ever!! They charge you $60 if you are late one day and charge you the plan! So your paying over $100. Its a rip off because you cant cancel you have to pay off hundreds because they gave your pet acouple shots. So very over priced. All about taking your money. Also not enough doctors and you have to drop your pet off for hours. For acouple shots. Because of understaff.Just NOT WORTH IT. And if you call customer service they are rude and want your money. Go somewhere else with your pet. Unless you want to be over charged.

All the assistants were very helpful pluse the doctor on shift was will to take the time to speak to myself and husband about are animals care.

I took my cat here for the first time and everyone was incredibly kind and treated my cat great. The Vet who saw my cat was Dr. Gurushav, and she explained everything clearly and precisely. The vet assistant Lily who also saw my cat helped me find the best plan for my cat as well. I highly recommend.

Anybody who leaves a poor review for this pet hospital is just an inexperienced pet owner! It is SO difficult to maintain a functioning, professional, and calm facility in an environment where there is nothing but a giant herd of anxious animals and their stressed owners. But Banfield does a fantastic job!The customer care staff, the techs, and the docs are all incredible at every Banfield I have been to in Sacramento - consistently! I really can make that a blanket statement. It's impressive. Thank you to the Banfield on Watt Ave: Morgynn at the front desk (keeps a smile and great attitude even when customers bring their bad days with them to their pet's appointments!), Tech David (he knows his stuff and keeps things fun!), Dr. Wasson (always kind despite having to adapt to hectic situations!), and all the other kind folks who have helped me to care for my pets despite my neurological challenges that inhibit my ability to ever be on time to a single appointment. Life savers, truly! Love the Crocker and Truxel locations as well!

They appeared to be Very Knowledgeable regarding my "Senior" dog. However, the Vets themselves aren't very personable towards or with me, either time I've gone there.

I've been a member for a few years now.....it's horrible. There are never any available appointments....they are months out all around the sacramento area...my dog had an infection and I had to take to her to another private vet for treatment. Do not sign up for their wellness program....they are always trying to get more money out of you each visit.I feel like I'm paying for nothing and impossible to get out of their contract until it expires. Beware

I’m a new pet owner, just adopted a Dog a week ago, I needed a wellness checkup and after a google search decided to give Banfield in PetSmart on Watt Ave in Sacramento a try. When I called l spoke with a nice gentleman who let me know my appointment options. He explained that a traditional appointment wasn’t available for several weeks but I could use their drop off option. He further explained that l would drop off my dog in the morning and after 2 to 3 hours she’d be ready for me to pick up. I brought my dog around 10:30AM after several hours and no call, l called them at 3:00PM and was told my dog had not been seen by the veterinarian yet and that the drop off timeframe l was given was wrong, and that it takes 6 hours for my dog to be seen and released. I never would have brought my dog here had I known l would have to leave her alone for 6 hours. I can’t even imagine the stress and trauma she’s experiencing being alone in a strange place for so long. Honesty is extremely important when choosing a veterinarian for your pet and starting off with lies sets the tone. After l pick up my pet I will never bring her back here again!!!

Terrible. No clue what vet said nor copy of visit and charges! Total incompetence and would never ever bring a dog or my dog there again. Excuse was new people. Wild since you're placing your furry baby in their hands for safety!!
