Worst customer service! I went in to pick up an order, return some items and order some gifts. Manager gave me attitude about returning my items, but not wanting to use that credit toward my purchase. When I purchased the items online I used my credit card, but when I went to buy new things I wanted to use my debit card. I do not feel like I have to explain or justify how I purchase things. They're still getting my money. Also because I returned some items that did not fit my daughter, the manager was snarky and made a comment that I shouldn't have been able to use my rewards because they were given to me for the items I returned. As a manager, if you have an issue with Carters policies you should tell Carters and not take it out on the customer.

Nice little store with a big selection. The cashier was friendly. I thought the clothes were going to be pricey compared to the department stores which sell Carters, nope. Got a onesie for 50% off.

Just had a horrible experience here at the Arden store. I was picking up some things I ordered online and returning something that my niece didn't like. I come in it's not that busy there's a couple ladies with strollers and one dad in the store. There's no line so I get helped right away. I put the things I want returned on the counter and search my email for my receipt because it was an online order. I find the email and hand my phone over to the cashier, Ashley. While she's scanning my receipt from my phone another store associate comes to "help" her. This store associate, who I see by her lanyard is named Kelly, asks me when I made the purchase and if what I put on the counter was what's on the receipt. What the heck?! Literally have never been asked that before during a return. Usual question asked is why I'm making the return but never quizzed about information that I LITERALLY have just given them. She wants a verbal answer so I look at her and say Yes! I'm thinking, can't she can't see for herself by looking at the receipt and clothes (tags still on, picked up from that store last week) that's on the counter? They made me feel like a criminal for trying to make a return. It was horrible. I put in my card and get the return. Then the pick up. I didn't like it so I decided to return it after opening the bag to look at it. The return doesn't go through the first time around and the cashier helping me asks if it's a gift card I'm using for the return. No, it's my bank's debit card. Let me tell you why asking this is offensive for those who don't know anyone working in retail. A while ago my sister worked at Gap Arden for like 6 years and was a manager for some of that time. One scam my sister told me about was when someone makes a return and puts the money on gift cards instead of a credit or debit card. In some of these cases it was because the items were stolen and the person did not have the original credit/debit card so they use a gift card so they can get the money. I am so offended. Like what the actual fu*k. I did nothing suspicious and was treated like a criminal. Oh yeah, for the second return it went through the second time around. Also paid for all items with the same DEBIT card I used for the returns. They had no reason at all to ask any of those questions. Any way you slice it; there's no excuse for that kind of behavior! Puts me off of ever shopping at this company in the future.

I've been coming here for over 6 years and I just love their deals and sales. I but for both my sons here since I love to match them. If I don't see a size the ladies are always nice enough to order it for me online. Anytime I order something online it's ready before one hour for pick up in store!

The staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful. The store was also very organized. I only wished there were more interesting options for boys. I can always find adorable outfits for my daughter, but it’s usually challenging for my son. It’ll always be one of my “go-to” stores for my kids regardless.
