DONT SHOP HERE! HE IS RASCIST!! I CAME HERE TO GET 4simple ITEMS AND MY CARD DECLINED BECAUSE MY BANK WAS HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH TRANSFERS I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT. WHEN I KINDLY SAID I HAD TO CHECK MY CARD BECAUSE I JUST TRANSFERRED FUNDS AND IT AHOULD BE THERE BY NOW HE MUGGED ME WHILE I STOOD VISIBLY TO THE SIDE NOT TAMPERING WITH ANYTHING BUT MY PHONE AND HE STARTED TO KICK ME OUT SAYING IM LURKING TOO LONG AND NEED TO GET OUT AND LOCKED ME OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT LIKE I WAS A THUG. All I was doing was checking my card and finding out why my funds aren’t available and he treated me as if I was stealing and causing a ruckus. NEVER GO HERE IF YOURE BLACK

Been a customer here daily for more or less two years. Not the friendliest place nor best stocked but it's a good location considering there's not much else to choose from ???

I'm giving this five stars because I want to make sure everyone reads this!! my friend went in there first when he walked up to the store (the people who work there were standing outside smoking weed but that isn't his business so he wasn't tripping off that) so he continues in the store grabs his things goes to the counter and makes his purchase for some reason his ATM card did not work instead of them saying do you want to try it again they basically accused him of stealing the card and when he told them to go to hell some guy comes out from the back trying to fight him (mind you my friend is almost 57 years old and he is disabled) so he leaves the store goes to Safeway buy's the same exact thing he tried to buy there and the card worked (like he knew it would) it took everything in my power to keep his son from going up there to give those people a piece of his mind and something else.... When we used to go to that store in the past it was an older man who worked there and he was always very nice.

Idk if I'll be coming back here. Everything was super expensive. Bought a sprite and it cost $2.70 plus card fee. Also the person up front was really rude. Won't be coming back to this store!

Employees are always super friendly and ask if I found everything okay. Sometimes we talk about the weather, politics, breaking news, etc.

I live in Midtown, so Choice Food & Liquor is kind of like my go-to place for beer, when I don't feel like driving all the way to the "dreaded Walmart" or Winco, which, either one would take 30 minutes to get to, and then another 30 minutes stuck in their long lines. The trade off, however, is that the prices are higher. I don't think Choice Food & Liquor's prices are astronomical, but they are definitely higher than a larger grocery store's prices. I like the convenience of the location, but I think they could stand to stay open a bit later. They close at 11pm, and it would be better if they stayed open until 2am. I usually do not buy IPAs here, because their selection is rather limited. It doesn't seem like the owners are beer drinkers, so they are sort of out of touch with what customers actually want.
