For the manager over donations: if you require that the attendant explain all the work he has to do, that he does not take the donations, instead has the donor place the items in the bin, I think the donor should be allowed to separate breakable items. If the attendant does not have time for this separation of TWO WHOLE ITEMS FROM A BAG, he should also not have enough time to follow me back at to my car demanding that I come back and learn about the bin (?) and then scream at me that I'm selfish. Just a thought.
I'll be sure to just donate elsewhere. Plenty of more ethical non profits anyway.
(If there's a response, keep in mind I'll be calling about this instead.)

A million times better than a certain other thrift store in midtown
UPDATE 5/25/25: They took out the fitting rooms so I had to lower the stars. Now if you want to try things on you're forced to humiliate yourself by trying things on over your clothes in the middle of the store. Plus, they don't do cash/debit returns- store credit only within 7 days. Pretty lame. This was my favorite thrift store in town and now I'm pretty sure I won't be returning.

Used to be a nice place to shop but they took away fitting rooms. How am I supposed to buy clothes that I can’t even try on? I’m sure management will blame shoplifting or some other nonsense but you can’t tell me your loss there is more significant than the loss you’ll experience from people like me who won’t buy anything now. Other stores have figured out how to have safe and clean fitting rooms. Keep them locked and have an employee available with a key when a customer asks to try stuff on. Goodwill just doesn’t want to pay for the staff they need to actually have a functional store.

It’s hit or miss today was great for me! I found a T3 flat iron and it’s worth $150.00. It works it’s missing a few bling stones that I also found same day. Yeah me! Most of the time good brands are way over priced but my flat iron is only $6.99.

Update:
With the The large percentage of the store being clothing. I was sad to see that there were no dressing rooms. However, the fact that they do offer credit or exchanges for clothing certainly makes the place more useful. So many places that have removed dressing rooms also have a no return policy. I won't shop for clothing in those places, for obvious reasons. However, being that they do accept returns, apparently, I would give this place another try.
No dressing rooms.

Staff are nice . But goodwill is as greedy as they can BE. Took out the fitting rooms , also buyer beware you have only one week to return electronics ! Bought a juicer and i took like 2 weeks to make my way back to Goodwill, nope they didnt return my item! BUY AT TARGET WALMART ONLINE ! they at least give u a month to return or more when electronics dont work and dont ask for your physical receipt , they can look your purchase up with your card . Electronics are best bought new , too risky buying them in Goodwill! LEARNED MY LESSON

The moment you walk in, you just know this place isn’t it. The staff were rude too. Disappointed.

Solid goodwill where you will find some more upscale items. Price are pretty fair and tip toward the medium-high range of thrift stores but you can still find good deals. Pretty clean and friendly staff.

NO DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED!
I was directed to the Alhambra location by the 1621 L St location as they were not accepting donations.
Drive down to the Alhambra location and I’m rudely told no donations ( of any kind ) are accepted there as well.
What are the “ donate here “ signs for? I’ve never had this issue.
My donations will be going in the garbage at this point. Huge waste of my time.

Great store! Especially the donation center; the employees make it super quick and easy to drop off items. The donation center has slightly different hours than the store so just call to make sure they’re accepting donations.

If you want to catch a communicable disease go to this goodwill. They do not manage who comes in so you’ll find empty containers of food in the fitting rooms, men walking around with their pants halfway on and not in a fashionable way, smears of who knows what on shelves and mirrors. It’s really bad. They have some decent items thanks to the East Sac resident donations but you better wear gloves! Eww.

Great to see some good folks working at this Goodwill. All 3 staff ppl I spoke with actually seemed down to earth and connected to the conversation which is rare in customer service, so I post this re ire because of their kindness and helpfulness. Thank you.
