Used to love the goodwill on March lane here in Stockton, but here lately their staff has been treated unfair.a really good staff.the most dedicated is Debbie and Suzie, recent found Suzie was let go for defending herself.she was a very big part of store, she always worked none stop.front, back, and was an extreme team member with Debbie, always kind, fare, respected by all of us regulars, myself and 5 others recently stopped going due to the termination of Suzie,on average I spent $400-$600weekly for the bargains to resell at my booth.we now go to salvation army.the corporate treats their staff alot better from wwhat we seen.we would return if Suzie was still there.very saddened

Please tell me why a broken toy @ goodwill in Sacramento is selling for 2.99?This is unbelievable. Please stop with the outstanding prices. This is GREED. PURE GREED. I'm boycotting goodwill until I see some changes. I'm also informing the public about the company's greed. What would Jesus say regarding the company's ridiculous prices? Please Give the underpaid employees a well deserved raise. Do better goodwill!

Too much stealin by the homeless and the cost is passed along to paying customers in having to pay more for items. Terrible

On 1/28 I made purchases at the placerville store while visiting relatives in the area. While unpacking my purchases a day later I noticed I was charged $104.55 for a 4.99 item. I contacted the store and spoke to the manager judy. She agreed that the amount sound suspect. I offered to drive the purchases the 2.5 hours back to the store for review. She stated it wasn’t necessary as she would review the video and receipt and get back to me the following day. Judy contacted me and informed me she was instructed to forward the information to corporate for investigation and I would be hearing from them for possible questions and how my bank card would be reimbursed. I have heard nothing from corporate nor can I get through by phone. I have spoke to Judy twice and she has emailed corporate without response. I am concerned the longer this goes on slimmer the chances for a positive resolution.

I won an auction for a used paperback book listed byGoodwill Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada on ShopGoodwill.com. The shipping for the item wound up being overpriced for the size and weight. So, I emailed them to see if they could recalculate the cost for me. They replied saying they only had one large box in stock to ship everything they listed, which made the UPS fee higher. So, I asked for a refund, since I could buy the book new on Amazon for less with free shipping. I was nice about it and mentioned they could easily re-list the book and sell it to someone else, since it had not even been processed yet. They replied that it's against policy to give refunds because items are sold "as-is." When I reminded them my request had nothing to do with the condition of the item, they still claimed there was absolutely no discrepancy on their part and would not refund me. Furthermore, they scolded me for not reading the three long paragraphs of tiny legal ease hidden way down at the bottom of their woefully outdated website. At this point, I may have inferred they seemed completely incapable of exemplifying the "Goodwill" embodied by their store name. Their responses showed they would rather lose a customer over one sale than do the right thing. Ultimately, their final response was to go ahead and refund me, but then they (tried) blocking me from ever bidding on their site again, claiming I was "Extremely Rude." Beware of this store!

I went to the Rancho Cordova store today, July 22 at 2:50 in the afternoon to drop off four bags of clothes, (shirts, Jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts,) some are Brad new with tags. The gentleman saw me pull up and the doors were open and he told me that he was closed. I told him that it was only 2:50 and he said he closed at three o'clock. He then closed the doors and yelled" see you tomorrow". Does not seem that is good business practice. I think you should hire someone that knows how to read a watch. I will be taking the items to a different location that appreciates nice donations,(ie) a different company. From now on if you are my only choice I would rather throw the items in the trash rather than donate to you. If I had known you don't need donations I would not have wasted my time. Never again.
