They use left over sauce for the chicken barbecue. It smells bad spoiled only after 4 hours of buying it from the store. The chicken seems OK. I am willing to pay for food that is not spoiled. But it is very disappointing to pay for a food ( $25 for 6 pieces) and realizing it is spoiled. One server doesn't know the price of the lechon Kawali. He would mumble while wearing a mask. You have to ask him to speak louder and repeat what he was saying a few times. Then when he weighs the food it was $17.99. $4 higher that what he said earlier. He doesn't even know how to cut the lechon. Then another guy behind me got upset because he was doing the mumbling again. Told him to speak louder. That was a disappointing visit on Nov. 16, 2023 at around 1:15PM.GRILL CITY - SACRAMENTO!!!# Slow service# Bad service# Selling spoiled sauce for the Chicken barbeque.

Food variety is really good in this restaurant, but the SERVICE is POOR. The servers are so slow, cashier is slow too.

Was being forced to order by number/set options, I just wish the Server would listen first before yelling at their customers.

Services is always been awful. Ignoring people waiting in line. No one cares to step up to help the cashier to speed up the process. Considering hearing people laughing in the back. Terrible management.

Grill City has some select quality entrees, however I seem to always have an issue with the chicken inasal. They always seem to serve it extremely undercooked to the point of the meat still leaking blood. I did have to wait a while for the food to be served thinking it was going to be thoroughly "cooked". I hope from now on they'll incorporate using thermometers to ensure that their meats are actually cooked. The location is inside of the Seafood City market so the ambience is very bright and open.

Grill City is inside Seafood City market. It's in the court area where other random shops are before walking into the grocery store.I ordered the buy 4 get 1 deal of only pork skewers. I've ordered the chicken before and always regretted it. The total was $19.56 for 4 (not counting the free one)... $5 each!! And it was cold. I ate it right away but ended up saving it til I got home so that I could reheat it.

I first tried this in San Diego, and saw this spot in Sacramento expecting the same. Boy was I wrong ... First off, the ambiance was noisy (and not in a good way). The machines on the wall across from the restaurant were making tiresome and annoying sounds, making the entire experience unbearable at best. There are tables here to dine at, but I'd recommend taking the food to go. The quality of the food was also meh, tastes fine but cold - didn't even bother to try to heat up the skewers again. Perhaps I'll give it one more try in the future when the grill is fired up, but I doubt it would change the overall experience.

Well, this place is ok to satisfy your filipino silog breakfast dishes. Not great but good over all. I ordered the tocilog combo and it tasted pretty much you would expect of it. Servers were nice and friendly but I notice that the filipino servers were very stingy in giving portions compared to non filipino servers lol. Oh, and they didn't have coffee ready at 8:30 in the morning which was odd.

20Oct2022-bought an entree (#6 squid+ kare-kare) for dinner on my way home for $18.48 ($16.99 + 1.49 tax) The grilled squid was 4" body long with onions stuffed in it and kare-kare was awful!....tasted like vinegary sour! It's either they put vinegar in the recipe (who on earth would put vinegar in kare-kare?) or it's already spoiling-threw most ofthe kare-kare (just don't know what's going to happen to my stomach afetr a few hours). For the price with this food quality, not woeth it and definitely NOT recommendable!

Favorite place for Halo-Halo! But seemed like this place needs good customer service training! And no space for rolling eyes to customers from Cashier Ruby!

Zero star, the taste is disgusting they don't cook the dish right. Went here for lunch this is the second time I thought the first one was a mistake. I'd rather go to philhouse in Elk grove authentic filipino foods.
