I'm tired of all the politics and just want my guitar fixed. What happened to music just being about the music. Moral of the story, not a good experience here.

I recently came into an early-80s Japanese-made clone of a vintage P-Bass. Great tone, look and feel but something was just a bit "off." It fought with me but had definite potential. Dave diagnosed the issue and did a total fret level. I just picked it up and WOW! What a difference. It's as close to perfect as I could have hoped for.all notes sing cleanly, action is nice and low, easy and inviting to play. I'm guessing this bass and I will be spending some quality time together on stage and in studio going forward. Highly recommended.

I stopped here on tour for a very quick and easy repair on my guitar. I didn’t catch the owners name but he helped quickly and inexpensively. Rocked the gig thanks to him. Love the guitar Esus chord you hear when you open the door. Cheers!

Dave does incredible setup work, I highly recommend him! He fixed a guitar that had a buzz no one else could find, and now it plays like a dream!

Been going here for about a year now for lessons and got the pickups replaced in one of my guitars. The lessons I have gotten from Ken have been great, and the work done on my guitar was great as well. Seriously, bad reviews because people don’t like his politics? It’s a guitar store, not Congress…

I had an issue with something I purchased & even going through some medical stuff, the owner took the time to contact me with a long message that included some helpful suggestions to try first. He was gracious & listened , he immediately resolved things & is taking care of it. I would highly recommend them, they dealt with me very professionally & with respect. Thank You from Pennsylvania

I came here looking for strings because one of mine broke hours before a performance. I knew what I needed and I wanted it to be a quick in and out purchase, but that is not what happened. I "needed" to replace the entire instrument instead of just putting on new strings. Apparently I look like I don't know how to change strings? When he figured out I wasn't interested in buying a new guitar, the person got extremely short and rude. I ended up leaving the not buying anything from him and went to guitar center a few miles away. I try to support small businesses when I can, but this place isn't worth giving a penny to.

No one touches my basses, but Dave. My Alembic, fenders, and rickenbacker have all been to Dave’s shop and come out exactly how I want them.He is worth the price, been to other “luthiers” who couldn’t hold a screwdriver In his shop.Don’t mind the long turn around time either, makes sense that everyone in the area wants him to work on their guitars.I also find it pretty interesting that most negative comments are people out of state or out of country. Click on some of the profiles and see for yourself.

Sometimes we go into a guitar shop for the first time and expect overly friendly staff. The first time I walked into GUITAR WORKSHOP I felt as if they were not friendly enough. Sometimes our expectations are unrealistic. I suppose it would have been nice if they threw a party for me as I walked in their shop for the first time. I was disappointed that they acted like they didn't know me. I too felt a little borderline. I didn't get the special treatment that I'm used at the music store were I really do know the people. However the last 2 times I've walked into the store. I was treated really well by the owner and was super personable.3 days ago I really needed help. I had dropped my PRS Custom 24 and effed up the 3rd fret. I knew that this place would have the specific fret wire. The owner gave me the fret wire I needed and did not charge me.Although I replaced the fret myself it would have not been possible if Dave didn't carry the parts I needed.I appreciate this store its localy owned. It's old school and Dave is a top notch at repairs. My first impression wasn't accurate. I found that Guitar Workshop and the people that work there to be very helpful, knowledgeable. If I needed serious help I wouldn't go anywhere else.
