Rooms are newly renovated, well stocked, beds are very very comfortable. Breakfast was stocked, hot and fresh. Guests & Staff was friendly, overly nice, and respectful. The hospitality Clerk, breakfast host, and house keeping were awesome, desk clerk, he deserve management and a raise. His customer service is to the moon. Im upset i forgot his name. We felt like we were visiting at family house. I truly didnt want to leave. I'd definitely stay whenever I come back to Sacramento. Thanks for help making my birthday a great one

Caren Martinez, the Front Desk Manager, went above and beyond to help me and my group for the Aftershock event. She is literally a one woman show. She took the time to listen to our concerns, and quickly figure out a solution and was very accommodating. I would only ever come back to this Hotel because of Caren. Thank you!!!

Shelley or Sheila, the front desk lady refused Me, my caregiver and my service dog. Because she did not believe she was a service dog. Despite us staying the night there a couple nights ago. George was a wonderful person to deal with the nights we were there. Today we tried to book a room. But Shelley had gave us a hard time about my service dog. I have video of another lady bringing her dog in without a vest and leash on past Shelley and Shelley did not do anything or say anything about it.

If I could give the Hampton Inn-Cal Expo ZERO stars, I would.Upon attempting to check in to an existing reservation AS A HILTON HONORS guest (Hilton owns Hampton Inns), the ridicously untrained front desk rep, Sheila -- when we reminded her that our reservation includes our service dog -- asked us, "Does it have a special collar to show that it is a service dog?" That question caused the person with disabilities undue stress and upset him deeply. Any TRAINED hotel professional knows that a service dog is NOT required to wear ANY special service dog attire, PER THE ADA -- the Americans with Disabilities Act. Furthermore, that particular question is A VIOLATION of ADA POLICIES, and is a suable offense, especially given the fact that it upsets the service dog owner, a person with disabilities. What made things even worse was the fact that SHEILA continued this nonsense by speaking 'in defense' of 'her side' by saying "well, it helps the hotel to know that this is a service dog." Oh so now people with disabilities are supposed to accommodate the hotel industry?? I thought the hotels were in the accommodating business and the hospitality industry! This event was neither accommodating nor hospitable. And I used to be an innkeeper; I know how hotel front desk personnel should treat their guests! Not to mention the fact that we had just arrived in Sacramento after a very strenuous, all-day drive. All my person with disabilities wanted was to be able to get to his room and use the private bathroom in his own, private hotel room. INSTEAD, HE WAS FORCED TO WAIT ANOTHER HOUR while I quickly made new reservations at a competing hotel, quite unexpectedly. I then spent the remainder of the day helping my person with disabilities to overcome this horrible mistreatment, which, of course, was totally preventable.Hampton Inn, you lost me as a customer, and this Yelp review is only the beginning of my way of spreading the word that HILTON AND HAMPTON INNS MISTREAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES!!Hilton, you'd better start retraining your staff on ADA policies and what is and IS NOT ALLOWED to say when speaking to hotel guests about ANYTHING related to ADA policies.By the way, while our service dog began consoling her person with disabilities BECAUSE HE WAS NOW CRYING FROM BEING MISTREATED BY HAMPTON INN FRONT DESK SHEILA, another hotel guest entered with a dog OFF LEASH, and went to their room, and Sheila didn't say a word to that other guest about the dog being off leash at a hotel that clearly holds policies for pets and service animals. So that's yet another form of discrimination against a person with disabilities who already has enough challenges and disappointments in his life.

Told that we could get an early check in at 1 pm. Got to hotel at that time and were told 2 pm. Note that when we made the reservation this morning we were told it was empty. Better be good for over $450 for 2 nights. And we are frequent customers of Hilton properties.

Nice hotel that has been renovated. They were still renovating the lobby during my stay. I liked that they cleaned the room every day and the added touches. It sits off the highway but I didn't hear traffic. I end up going out for breakfast everyday because breakfast was not appealing. This could be due to renovations.

The hotel is going through a much needed remodel. It was very inconvenient as the lobby and all common areas were being remodeled at the same time. This prevented the use of the ice machine and other amenities like laundry room. We specifically booked a room with a tub and the room did not have a tub, I decided to let it go because I wasn’t confident in the front desk after check in wasn’t smooth. Be aware they hide a $10.00 a night parking fee. The area seemed very unsafe as we pulled into the parking lot. Although the room was remodeled and clean we didn’t get what we wanted. I would suggest renovating one floor at a time and not book customers on a floor that is being worked on all night.

The receptionist for the night, the young lady was so rude and disrespectful. She need to be trained for customer care service skills! I will never book a room here because of that lady!

The room is clean and a nice size. I stayed here for 6 days and felt like I had enough room to live comfortably. The hotel is next to a extremely noisy freeway but aside from that also has a lot of questionable people loitering in the parking lot. On one occasion, someone was at the continental breakfast making themselves PLATES and then was discovered to not even be a guest there. However, he made his way out with tons of food. On another occasion, there was a questionable man (a different one from the breakfast mishap) loitering in the parking lot which made it uncomfortable for guests to go out to their cars or to take their pets to the potty area. My digital key never worked which was not a huge deal but it seemed the front desk was hesitant to provide a key even with the app issue. I appreciated the 24 hour coffee availability and overall cleanliness of the hotel. It’s currently undergoing renovations but that didn’t affect any part of my stay. There isn’t much to do near by nor would you want to walk outside (in the day or the night). We tracked via car about 5 mins to a mall where we are most of our meals because it felt safer than venturing out into the area near the hotel.

This location is about 10 min aways from the state fair. The rooms were very clean and seemed new. The complimentary breakfast was large. There was lots to pick from: waffles, sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels, four differ kinds of juices. This is a great place to stay!

Pretty nice, good ac, looks nice, I like the snack area and the free snack you get, the free breakfast is good too, underneath the covers was silky and comfortable, but the top of the blanket has this ugly design, and a uncomfortable scratchy texture, sort of like sand paper, also the floor had this weird thin sticky residue that got on my feet, it was good overall, I didn't appreciate the 10 dollar overnight parking fee per each car though.
