Restaurant could use a little TLC. The food was plain, it could use a little spice.

I just want to know what makes a rice and beans burrito worth $16 - $17. Food is okay not outstanding but I don't believe the inflation really makes things so expensive for customers unless they're making $10+ profit on each burrito.

Man, if you are in the mood for Mexican food at a sit down restaurant, this place does not disappoint! Their food is soooo good and hefty portions for the price! We love their salsa as it is so fresh and nice and cold, gives me Luis's vibes from back in the day!! The staff are friendly and are on it when needing more chips and salsa or drinks. The restaurant is pretty dated and you definitely feel like you're walking into a time vault, lol. Could use a good deep cleaning but nothing in there makes me feel nervous to frequent their establishment unlike other places around Sacramento.

My first visit. Staff were friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about the menu. We were seated and brought chips & salsa immediately. Beverages came quickly and our orders came out in just a bit. Delicious entrees and nice portions- had to take some home - and it made a great midnight snack.

Portion size was larger than imagined, but the food was very good.

This place is an institution. I have been coming here for the last twenty years or so. I love the food and the atmosphere is awesome. They have the best bean dip in the world. I always get the same thing cheese enchilada and tamale the best around. The fact that it is a family run restraunt is great, you just don't see many of those anymore. So this place gets a big 2 thumbs up from me.

I used to frequent this restaurant years ago and it was one of my favorites. Today, we decided to see if it was still good and I must say the food was great! The salsa was very fresh and tasty - I couldn't stop eating it. I ordered the chili verde plate with fresh homemade tortillas! My husband ordered the beef enchiladas plate. He loved the fried beans and said they the best he's ever had. Both plates were $18 each. At first I felt it was a little pricey for Mexican food but the portions made it worth it. Ambiance was not the best as the place needs to be updated. I'll be back when in the area.

Lunch special was fantastic. The service was excellent and the place was very cute. Prices a tab steep but worth it.

I forgot to take pictures. However the gents working here hustle. The place was busy and it felt like the food came out fast. I always gauge Mexican food by the Chili Verde. Theirs was good.

Food was good just really expensive.Service was a little slow. But politeful and professional. Just a lil slow. They don’t have any aguas frescas at this Mexican restaurant which is a bummer. Huge menu I wouldn’t trust. Get what sells the most.
