The egg on my sandwich was tiny and cooked until brown. The regular coffee was like mud and the lady at the counter was clearly having a bad day and not trying to hide it. I won't be back.

This place likes to commit creidt card fraud and try to take thousands of dollars out of people's accounts that don't even live in California I live on the east coast never heard of these frauds and they attempt to take thousands out of my account. Im layered up and with my bank I'm pressing criminals charges. Ignorance of the law won't even help these clowns

This location has very strange spicy thai chicken soup... very thick and creamy, and includes noodles. Terrible compared to the usual soup at other locations.

Very underwhelmed by the food. Had the jambon gruyere Bistro sandwich. Looks and tastes like pressed ham, gruyere barely melted and that was it, no lettuce, tomato, nothing. You can see cheese was not evenly spread on the bread so some bites were bland ham on a not great "baguette". I won't be returning. Caesar salad that came with it was decent. This was a to go order that I ordered at the restaurant.

My iced caramel latte came out as a hot coffee. Easy fix. I grabbed an empty plastic cup, filled it with ice and poured some of my hot coffee into it. My wife's cheese, mushroom and bacon omelet had no cheese ? Spent 40 bucks for breakfast, but hey, it's Cali ? The.people were nice and my breakfast was tasty.

Ordered breakfast. Bagels to go. Place was not too busy, and I learned later that they failed some type of health test. Not a big deal but I didn't like it. Don't know if I'll go back again.

The restaurant felt clean, spacious, and relatively quiet, which is great when you'd like to meet a friend and be able to hear each other. My friend's favorite is their apple-walnut cake because it's not too sweet. The portion was pretty large, so she planned to have half today and half tomorrow. I had a decaf mocha and found it to be very bitter, so I took it home and added a lot of milk to make it drinkable. This La Bou has great staff, is conveniently located on Howe Ave near Hurley Way, and they have good parking. I'll go again and hope for better coffee next time.

I ordered a turkey sandwich and chicken Chinese salad. The sandwich barely had anything on it one slice of turkey, half a slice of avocado, and a couple slices of spinach. The bread was also not very tasty. The salad was not at all appealing, especially for the amount I paid. Unless you want to get shut down, the owner really needs to step up the spot.

The tomato bisque was good, but the 1/2 turkey sandwich was the worst sandwich you could conjure up. Two small slices of deli turkey, one slice of tomato, not even a whole leaf of lettuce. I've seen kid's sandwiches in school lunches be better prepared. Not worth the $15.00 it costs at all.

So, I have eaten LA Boulangerie croissants for over 30 years. I first went when they were a little shop on J Street with a line of customers out the spring-loaded front door. The croissants were 85 cents each and were flaky buttery perfections of this wonderful pastry. I just went to the store on Howe (I haven't been to a La Bou in 2 years), and it was lousy. I bought a Cinnamon Nut Croissant that was a piece of DDDRRRYYY bread. The nuts were microscopic, and it had no cinnamon flavor. Then to add insult to injury, it was almost $4.00. As for service, it's adequate. The ambiance I can't say other than it's a ghost town. Nobody goes to THIS La Bou for pastries.
