I had a very positive online shopping experience -- found an out-of-print exhibition catalogue in great used condition for a reasonable price. The book shipped quickly, with care and with a lovely note. A tip/note for international buyers: this bookstore doesn't ship outside the US, so I used a third party rerouting service, which drove up the cost significantly.

As a book dealer, I have bought wonderful stock from Amatoria Fine Art Books that has been a boost to my stock. The stock I purchased has virtually sold almost as fast as I could list it. Great selection of books and the most artistic, knowledgeable staff.

A great little bookstore with charming ambiance in a cool Sacramento neighborhood. Chock full with lots of fun art books, antiquarian books, and other oddities. I just found out that they have a website, so I can order books from the comfort of my own home, thousands of miles away. The folks who run the shop are very helpful and smart, kind people. I want to live inside this bookstore, just move me into a back room and I'll be happy!

Had to come back and add a few details to my 5 star review to emphasize just how special this place is. If you love art, books, and/or Sacramento this is the spot for you. I have found so many treasures here. As a lifelong bibliophile I feel transported each time I visit. I once found an amazing book....about books! I will continue to visit at least once a month and look forward to my next discovery. I don't have a favorite corner, it's all of them! The humans that own and work there are very special too, I appreciate them and their store, thank you for creating such a unique space.
