I cannot say enough good things about this place. I felt so safe putting my cat in their hands, I could tell they cared very deeply for all of the pets that they treat. I have never had an experience with a vet like this, where it is so clear that they truly have the animals best interests at heart and will do all they can to help. They could not have been more thorough, and at the end of the appointment I was expecting to pay a huge bill. (Which I would have done gladly for the service) instead, I found that they were even more reasonably priced than other vets I had visited, all while being more personable, kind, and thorough. It was clear to me that the people here are not just trying make a profit, they truly love cats and love helping them.

Take my cats here for their regular check ups. Easy to communicate with very and to get food prescription and the cats prescription food on site too if I forget to order online. They give many possible solutions to resolve any health issues with the cats that work with our unique family situation. I like that this place specializes in only cats. Only down side is there is a waiting list to become a patient here but I think it's worth it if your situation permits.

I don't have enough kind things to say about Dr. Lara and the staff at River City Cat Clinic. I took my cat, Gandalf, to this clinic for several years. I recently had to make the difficult decision to have him put down when he started to rapidly and suddenly decline just shy of his suspected 12th birthday. I was unable to take him to RCCC when his sudden decline started because they were closed, but I left a message letting them know I was taking him to an emergency vet and they followed up with me the next business day. I was able to forward his test and lab results to Dr. Lara prior to his scheduled appointment and she called me to discuss what she saw. She approached the difficult conversation with care and listened to my concerns and worries. When I took him to his appointment later that week she discussed a "Hail Mary" plan to possibly buy me more time as I'd told her I wasn't ready to say goodbye. Unfortunately, she was able to discover later in the visit that the fluid that had been drained from his lungs by the emergency vet was building up again and there wasn't a viable treatment option for my circumstances to prevent it from continuing to happen. Dr. Lara showed me such kindness and compassion when I asked her difficult questions and made the decision to take him home to say goodbye. She followed up with me the next week and sent the kindest email that I still find comfort in. The love and care she has for her feline patients and their owners is something that I will forever be thankful for, and should I ever have another cat I will not think twice about choosing RCCC.

We had a litter of Ferrell kittens in our yard - tried to get someone to come rescue them from our dogs. Their recommendation was to spray water on them and see if momma would take them away. We were expecting a cat rescue clinic to help us trap, spay and neuter - apparently that is not what they do.

Vet and Techs were great with our Zeke and Jimmy Junior! So nice to have a vet office just for cats as our boys are very scared of dogs.

I put my name on the waitlist at least 1.5 years ago. I was calling in 2023 to check where I was in the waitlist and they found my name in the list but kept telling me it’ll be March 2023. March 2023 came and gone and I received no notification. I called today to ask where I was on the list and lo and behold—-my name is not on it. Why? Where was the email that says I didn’t make it to the list. I was told if I go to the website it says closed. Do you really think people just sit at their Computer refreshing the page to see if the waitlist is closed months ago???Correct business etiquette would be TO NOTIFY them by email which I asked—and they said yes we did notify everyone on the list. So where was mine??? I checked my email for the notification they supposedly sent but the last email was from June 2022 saying Happy Birthday to my now peacefully sleeping cat. I was calling to find out where I was on the list so I can take my other cat there instead of VCA since they specialize in feline care. I’m so frustrated right now and the only cop out they have was “you’re not on either 2021 or 2022 list”. What were all those phone calls I made months ago and I was told I should be in March 2023 then? Was I hallucinating when I made those calls?

We have taken our guy, Lucky to River City since we found him under a piece of plywood in our backyard. He and a sister of his were the only ones of a litter of 7 or 8 to survive. They were covered in bugs and starving. Lucky had bugs in his left eye and was constantly shivering. His sister died the next night, but Lucky was too tough to give up. We took him to River City and they worked on him for over a week. We all expected him to die. We knew he would be blind. That was 18 years ago this coming June 5th. He is blind in his left eye, but he just refused to go away. He would have been a great Marine, although he's a real scardy cat, but he's my buddy! The wife kind of likes him too. I don't think she's too sure about me though!I cannot recommend River City Cat Clinic any higher than an absolute 10 out of 10!

Called to make an appointment for my cat who is very sick, but they couldn't find my account. Admittedly, it's been a few years since I've taken him in, and because of that, they purged us from their system and deemed me a new client, but, they won't accept new clients so they wouldn't help my cat or allow me to book with them. With literally ZERO empathy for the situation they forced me to find a new vet. They are right near my home so I was very disappointed. One of the reasons I didn't bring my cat there as often as I should have is because of their prices, they're very high, it seems their ethics and customer service are just as disappointing.

High prices and ultimately they turned out to be the type of business/people I wouldn't want to do business with anyway. Shotty ethics and poor customer service. Because I didn't patronize their business enough, they purged my account, which included my cat's records, and they didn't tell me about it until I called in with a very sick cat that needed care. Further, they wouldn't allow me as a customer anymore, I asked. Sorry, kitty. This place is down the street from my house, and without ANY empathy for the situation, they've forced me to find a new vet which will surely be further away.

This review is long overdue, as I have been going to River City Cat Clinic for about 5 years now and my experience during this time has been overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Quinley and the staff at RCCC are amazing. I have a cat that was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and Dr. Quinley went out of her way to set aside time for us and respond to my emails over the weekend. It was a very emotional time and I felt supported and cared about. I have another cat with behavior issues and Dr. Quinley and the staff make sure that the experience for my cat is as stress-free as possible. Dr. Quinley clearly works hard to understand every cat's individual personality and tailor her care to them. She is also very knowledgeable about diseases in cats and treatment options. With guidance from RCCC I feel confident that I am making the best decisions for my cats. I have been to vets before who aren't really cat people, and I understand because they are complicated little creatures. However, that dislike often shows up in the type of care they give whether intentional or not. So being in a place surrounded by people as cat-obsessed as me is so important when it comes to my cat's well-being.

We've been going to RCCC for over a year now, and Dr Lara has been great. Every person I've ever met here is compassionate, kind, and friendly. I definitely trust them with all our cat clan. A little on the pricier side, but I don't mind paying for the kind of quality care we always receive vs the last experiences I've had at vets that were less expensive. I genuinely feel like I can trust their guidance and advice. I always wish they were open on the weekends, but that doesn't keep me from coming here. Thank you, RCCC!
