Safeway is one of my favorite places to shop. I also get my meds there! They have great costoner service. It seems like the employees love their jobs. Only downside is the deli , I give that a 1 star ⭐ in the last 2 years I've noticed people who work in the deli are grouchy and unhappy. No customer service skills at all. I've stopped ordering sandwiches. Other than that it's a great place to shop! Best 2 day sales too!!

Check dates! Today is 12/12/25 Bought a baked good that had expired on 11/25/25 it also had mold. I never assumed that would be an issue at safeway especially for the prices. Also its 5 dollar friday and place wasn't stocked/prepared and the red 5 dollar friday signs in the meat department were just sitting in a pile on top of a box, on top of the meat. 🤦♂️

This is a wonderful deli at Crocker Safeway. They are always polite and professional. They take the extra time to slice my meat exactly as I want it. I know when I'm ordering I'm getting the best service in any deli in Sacramento.

Safeway offers a clean, well organized shopping experience with a solid selection of groceries, fresh produce, and convenient deli options. Prices are fair, and weekly deals help save money. Staff are generally friendly, and checkout especially self-checkout is quick and efficient

They are so ridiculously expensive. I want to shop there within specials going on and because they're local to my house. Otherwise I do not buy anything they sell and I have no idea why other people do except they might have a fetish for wasting their money, IDK?

It's ok. Not my go to store. I really prefer Raley's. Raley's produce is definitely fresher than Safeway. Today I was going to pick up some veggies, the bell peppers were definitely not fresh and their prices are usually more expensive than Raley's.

I want to recognize Iizette, the Courtesy Clerk at Safeway, for her outstanding customer service. I had called several Safeway locations trying to find crab meat for my gumbo, and she went above and beyond to help me. She personally checked with the meat and deli department to make sure they had it in stock before I made the trip, and she even provided me with the price. Her kindness, patience, and professionalism truly stood out — she’s a great example of excellent customer service!
