My opinion on this particular place is indecisive for the fact that this store has served me, my family & friends for many years & has been very convenient (in the past) given our history...the truth of the matter is that it sits in the heart of south oak park in a very dense run down neighborhood most would call the slums in a not so great part of town. Now aside all the history both good & bad, this location used to be "the spot" especially in the past w/ the neighboring business spaces located door to door within the entire bldg were up & running (a metro PCS mobile ph store at the end, a fashion store around the corner at the end of the bldg. & a family owned soul food bbq pitstop right next door....this lot used to be booming with business & patrons, especially on weekend nights. It appears that mgmt. has changed & quite frequently lately that is after many incidents, & illegal activities began to occur more frequently not just in the area or in the parking lot, but eventually on/in/around back of this business. Since then the nearby businesses shut down their shops packed up & moved out 1 by 1 leaving this market the lone "survivor". A lot has changed... & just like the ownership, mgmt & surroundings have changed-so has the service including the products. Some items are over priced w the cashier almost appearing to be using the "guess as you go/ask"method w most of nothing labeled w price tags so they just throw a random price at you upon request....the food & drink selections have changed emensly & I've even noticed there to be spoiled nearly rotten products being sold still out in plain view mixed in with the non expired items with my most recent discovery of there being several store bought items from the nearby local 99cents store placed on the shelves of this store for resale at nearly double the price-soke still w the original labels fr the previous store...not sure how the service here withered away but it seems as though the "good ol days" are now just distant memories as it seems many nearby & local businesses are beginning to follow if they haven't already shut down shop & have moved on. Harsh reality of Sacramentos pitfalls despite those that are determined to hold on to what's nearly gone...
