I've been a member of this credit union for 40 years. Before the merger, this was a great credit union, but that was another time. Now, if you want to talk to someone you MUST go through their phone tree CORRECTLY. Right now I have an unauthorized charge on my debit card and here I sit, waiting for the promised call back after I was on hold for over 10 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, I received a call back, but sorry I need to transfer you. Another 10 minute wait in hopes of a pick up on their end, so I opted for the call back. And here I sit and wait, and wait. I HAVE THINGS TO DO and don't want to wait around long for a call back. This IS there practice - they are not especially busy, this happens all the time. It is how they do business. So frustrated. 40 years of loyalty for this.

This is the best credit union around Sacramento and I have had membership in many. I have now been with SchoolsFirst for over 20 years! Used to be Schools Federal Credit Union. Customer service is top notch. Always someone there to help you find answers to any of your questions. Employees always greet customers with a friendly smile and "hello". They even greet me by my first name which makes me feel really special. I recently encountered a situation where someone had hacked into my computer and I was concerned that the hacker may have gotten some of my financial information. SchoolsFirst customer service reps. worked and guided me through the steps needed to resolve that situation. The hacker, by the way, had not been able to get into my financial information. This branch goes out of their way to keep your account safe as well as walking you through most any financial issues you may be having. Thank you SFFCU for your great customer service!!

Great customer service. This isn't the main location I go to but when I come here it's always professional! I appreciate how they always make sure to ask for my code word & ID. Watch out when you walk out or bald out since people be flying through the parking lot!

Was a customer for over20 years. Had recently moved most of my services elsewhere but still had an open account tied to some work expenses. After the acquisition, I was locked out of my account and moved twice. They had the wrong address on file and while that happened, a bill was accidentally paid out of a low balance account. The account was over drafted. I got no email, no phone call and they didn't have the correct address. Since I couldn't login I had no idea. Turns out they closed my account and my credit score dropped 80 points. The level of ineptitude and total lack of client support is unimaginable. I can hope nothing but the worst for this horrible business. Pull your money out now, this ship is going down. And rightfully so. Support a local credit union that actually supports you back.

Probably the worst experiences I've ever had with a bank. Their transition over from schools financial credit union was a nightmare. I went to close my accounts and they forgot to withhold a pending charge from Starbucks and after closing my accounts I had to return to give them 7 bucks in cash so they wouldn't send me to collections and then they didn't even have change. Laughable honestly.

They used to be Schools Credit Union. They recently changed to Schools First Federal Credit Union. I have a vehicle loan with them. Their website and App is horrible. I cannot set up electronic payments to the loan from an external account. I contacted their website help desk twice, they responded once and gave me information that did not help. When I followed up with them, they never responded. Forget about calling customer service. The hold time is ridiculous. I have to resort to physically going down to the credit union to make the payment. It is like I travelled back in time to the 20th century before online banking became the standard. If I did not have a car loan with them, I would switch to another bank. When I went to the bank to make my payment, there were other people speaking to the tellers expressing their frustrations with the online banking experience. Stay away. This credit union should develop better online banking and should have hired a better transition team when they switched from Schools Credit Union.

Disappointed!I had been with Schools Financial Credit Union for years with no problems. And then they merged with SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union. From day one it has been nothing but a nightmare. On the opening day I tried to log into my account but I couldn't get in. I then called multiple times. Half of the time when it sounded like I was finally connected, it went immediately to a dial tone. Nobody home? I even drove to the branch and there was a very long, long line of people out in front of the building probably having the same problem I was having. I went back home and tried to call. When I finally did get put on hold I waited for over 2 hours before someone actually picked up. It's kind of scary when you are met with so many barriers to simply access your accounts. I called again today and more problems. I could not even connect with anyone. I called because I was not able to use the mobile app. Broken. Unable to deposit and nobody to help with this. I'm looking for a new banking option. It won't be SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union. The customer service is so bad. It shouldn't be this difficult. Very disappointed.

I have received nothing but wonderful service. You may have had a bad experience with Schools Financial and for those of you who are thinking about leaving I'd encourage you to stay. I have had an account with Schools First Federal Credit Union(the financial institute we have merged with) for 14 years and their services are unbelievable. So much so that my account in Southern California is my primary bank account to this day. You couldn't compare the two before, but I have seen the branch gradually evolve into what my experience was in Southern California. It is a fantastic credit union to be a part of.

I have found the Schools First Credit Union employees knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. When they don't know the answer to your question, they try to find the answer from other sources quickly. The "not-for-profit" company usually offers the best rates on both their loans and savings accounts. I have been borrowing and saving with them for several years and their costumers always seem to come first.

Schools is the best. I worked with Candy for years to obtain loans and now Melinda. I have had a bank account for over 34 years and Schools is the best I have dealt with. Big thanks to Melinda at the Yuba City branch for all your efforts!
