My partner and I always find something interesting and beautiful at Scouts. The owners and staff are great and the resident pug is too cute. I highly recommend a visit to the well curated shop. Over time we've purchased a large mid century sectional, dinner table and various decor.

This is my absolute favorite shoppe in Sacramento. The items that come through are always unique and beautiful. From the furniture to the art, the lamps to the miscellaneous items- it's just a super cool place that always has something special to add to your home. The staff is also very helpful and kind.

I thought this was a great place, until I tried to have some items shipped. I purchased some crystal hi-ball glasses and a vintage ceramic dish for my parter for our anniversary. The sales person took payment and told me that the owner would contact me the next day to arrange shipping. I did not hear from them for 10 days, despite left messages and emails. When I finally received the package, long after the anniversary, the box was smashed and everything inside was destroyed. The packing job was a joke, how are you going to put 4 heavy crystal glasses in a box with a heavy ceramic dish and lid without styrofoam in-between? They have cool stuff in this store with good prices, but the owner simply does not respond to communication and their shipping service is a joke.

This is my favorite store in Sacramento! They always have a lot of good inventory -- furniture, paintings, jewelry, gifts. There's also good turn over of inventory! Everyone who works there is super nice and knowledgeable. I've gotten a few pieces there, and I feel like they have good quality items, well restored and much cheaper than I'd find other places.

The owner is Irresponsible to leave his dog off leash and wondering the streets. Highly unsafe for your pet and other peoples pets too. I don't enjoy having a random dog run up while walking my dog.

This is the best antique shop we’ve ever seen the way they set up and the selections are superb just like a museum! Thank you the Scout living!!!!

Absolutely love this family owned shop. You can always find the best items from large furniture pieces to unique postcards and records. Really appreciate how careful they have been about Covid. Love seeing their four year old playing in the back and Tatty the pug perched on her thrown. A true bright spot in our community.

Very nice store with a good selection of mid century furniture. Even though vaccinated people are no longer required to wear masks and nobody was wearing masks in the surrounding stores and restraunts we were pounced on by the clerk as soon as we opened the door. We complied but he was so unfriendly we left.

Scout is nothing but awesome. They have a beautifully curated selection of mid-century modern goods that will fill any retro-loving decorator with nostalgic joy. I have several pieces of furniture from their shop in my home--everything I've purchased is in great shape and will easily last well past the middle of this century. Hot tip: Scout also has a modest collection of classic vinyl. If you're the turntable type, you can score some serious gems here for cheap. Covid status: They have a hand wash station outside--cutting edge hygiene that's rare--and make no exceptions for non-maskers. You're safe here.

Came in the other day looking for bookends to match the rest of my mid century home. I'm brown and was wearing my casual clothes and was with my partner. We got followed around non stop by the guy shop owner and never asked if I needed help. I'd been in there years ago with my white boyfriend while we were dressed nicer and owners were very friendly. Bummed that this place is obviously classist and probably racist, assuming we were going to steal. An older white couple came in and were asked if they needed help right away. They said they were just browsing. Why is a white couple who are just looking getting treated better than folks with the intention to spend good money. Super disappointing, hope y'all see this and question why you're stereotyping.
