I’m from Taiwan and this is THE BEST and MOST AUTHENTIC Taiwanese food I’ve ever had in Northern California. My absolute favorite restaurant/shop to go to. Just wish they’d open more days and hours.

My go-to mom and pop Taiwanese shop in Sacramento. I love love love this food. The railroad bento is such a dependable lunch especially if you eat a lot. So much food. The chili oil wontons are out of this world. If you want more of a snack then their popcorn chicken blows out the competition (especially if you like spicy)

We doordash here a few times, and have loved it! This time I got the bento box, which came with two pork taiwanese sausages, rice, pork stew, pickled mustard greens, cuttlefish balls, and some sauteed vegetables! Everything was absolutely delicious! I love the pickled greens and always get extra! The sausages were a bit greasy but delicious nonetheless! I just wish it was slightly cheaper for the portion you get, or a bigger portion for this price lol. Highly recommend it!

Hidden gem close by downtown and easy access to the freeway! They not only sell a selection of frozen food which is great for hot pot and selected grocery items, but they sell hot food! We always stop by when we're in the area. They have the best popcorn chicken. The chicken is always juicy and has great flavor. My 20m son can finish half a bag on the ride home. We also love the wontons and pork belly baos! Check out their IG for the weekly bento toppings! We love the golden kimchi. Super good and not spicy!

You got me at Ma Jiang Mian, which is cold sesame noodles. I got it with chicken but my vegan friends can get it without. The creamy nutty taste of the sesame was spot on. This dish is so good, I'm craving more! I just happened to run across this tiny shop when I was at Osaka-Ya buying sweets. The place is tiny with only two tables. There were a couple dashers waiting for their order. I just placed my order at the counter and there wasn't a wait since the dish is premade. They have a decent variety of menu items. From fried, rice, and noodles. I definitely will come back for the Gua Bao, chili wontons, or their bento boxes. Happy Eating!

The food was good but the portions were laughably meager. I ordered extra mustard greens and "pork" and received about 3 oz. of meat and 2 oz. of greens.I was looking for those big chunks of beautiful Taiwanese pork and ended up with a kid's meal instead. The popcorn chicken with rice is pretty much 90% rice. Go somewhere else if you're looking for a filling meal.

Horray for legit Taiwanese food in sac! I adore this place and am so glad a friend recommended it! I got the combo which came with the pork cutlet and a Taiwanese sausage. The orders come with rice and vegetables as well as 2 sides of your choosing - I chose the egg and the fried pork balls for this order. Everything is made to order so everything comes out super hot and fresh! It's pretty flavorful and overall a pretty balanced meal in my opinion. The shop itself is pretty small with only 2 tables with 4 chairs each. They also do have frozen dumplings for sale if you want to take them home for later! Parking is a little bit of an issue as there is only street parking, but I have always been able to find parking on the street although I do try to come during off hours knowing parking is a little bit difficult!

The gua bao was really good I would get it again and the Taiwanese sausage wasn't my thing maybe since it was sweet but I would definitely come back and try other things. Service was fast and the inside was small but there are a couple tables to dine-in at.

I've probably gone here over 20 times and I now consider it a place of worship. Thanks for bringing a taste of Taiwan to the US!

Located in downtown, we found this Taiwanese store. There are some parking at the back or the road side. There are quite some good food options and the service is awesome. We got two bento boxes and a couple appetizers. We ate the basil chicken in the car on the way home and it tasted awesome. We ate the bento after our 1 hr drive home, and it would definitely taste better if we were to eat there or in the car. The chicken taste better than the pork. Love the veggie side dishes more than the meat/squid balls. There are quite so many frozen options too. We got some dumplings and can't wait to try them.I wished they have such an authentic store in Elk Grove area. If they had one I will definitely go daily!Prices are very reasonable too.

Very nice little spot. I'm not that familiar with Vietnamese food but we were in the area and heard good things. It's a pretty small market/restaurant. You can buy fresh made dumplings, shumai, fish cake and other great items. They only have 2 tables inside so we just decided to get to go.We went with the popcorn chicken and miso salmon bento box.The chicken was some of the best I've had. Seasoned very well and juicy. The salmon was a good portion and cooked jus right. The rice had a very nice seasoning to it. Pickled salad and sides were also very good. Very nice little spot to check out if you are in the area.

Taiwan Best Mart is a gem just outside of Midtown Sacramento that serves fresh and authentic Taiwanese food. The establishment is family run and has an array of classic Taiwanese dishes like beef noodle soup, dumplings, and the classic bento box. On my visits, I usually order the Basil Popcorn Chicken Bento box with stewed pork and one of their weekly rotating sides. I often will order a bag of dumplings to take home and enjoy as well. Check out Taiwan Best Mart for traditional Taiwanese eats.PSA: They Are usually Closed during July as they often take the month for vacation and visit family back in Taiwan so be aware and order up just before they close for the month!
