Located right in the heart of midtown. The rooms were ok. Basic. But tv was broken and it took over 10 minutes for the water to warm up. There was a metal base for bed and we would kick it by accident. Soon became super annoying.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I skipped over cheaper hotels thinking "how bad could it be", and "at least I'm not getting the cheapest hotel". I spent $143 to stay here during the California International Marathon.Upon entering, the air was thick with smell of cleaner. after 30 minutes, I was nauseous to my stomach and went out to dinner, thinking it would clear while I was gone. NOPE. upon returning, I tried airing it out for an hour with my door wide open late at night before getting into the pitiful bed. NOPE. I couldn't sleep because of the fumes. left the window open (despite locals periodically screaming in the streets), cranked the AC unit fan (no fan in the bathroom). Basically could not sleep. even though I had to wake up at 3:15am to run the marathon.the bathroom was disgusting. stained towel, hair stuck to the door, paint splatter everywhere, broken caulking, literally grime all over the ceiling, the list goes on. just really really gross. like a slum lord had been patching it up for decades.the wall art was hung upside down, and the lights were the color of hospital lighting. The bed was bad, but whatever, I'm not that picky. sticky front door you had to kick to open.but god, the smell. everything in my bag reeked when I got home. I was too embarrassed to tell my wife or my friends that I stayed at possibly the worst hotel I have ever seen. and I have been to some bad rooms in China and Turkey. I really wish I could get my money back.

This room was uninhabitable. After check-in we went to the room and it was filled with cigarette smoke somehow, as if someone was actively smoking in there. The bedspreads had numerous holes, there was mold along the bathroom ceiling. Unknown spatter on the outer door, in the bathroom and elsewhere. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the others were out of order-there were three cars in the parking lot. I asked for my money back and was refused. I did get my second night refunded but not the first. No one should EVER be given that room, and my guess is any room in that establishment.I knew that the motel would possibly be a lower end for the Wyndham brand, but assumed it would at least be clean and feel safe given the brand. Instead it was laughably (not all that funny given my money is involved) below minimum expectations.I booked a room at the Comfort Inn rather than subject myself to this inhumane environment. I did return the following day to speak to the management (as instructed the night before) and they were unwilling to refund my money despite the fact that we didn’t stay there and were denied another room.Bottom line - I’m shocked that Wyndham allows this establishment to use their brand. It’s shameful. If they have any inspectors/inspections, they might want to check this out ASAP.

First, the place is a dump. No upkeep outside. I was afraid our car would be damaged or stolen. The room had peeled paint. Water was coming up under the bathroom floor - before we used the sink or shower. The shower is set up that you can't help water coming on the floor. We had to use the mat and our 2 towels after we showered to dry it. And, yes, 2 towels. No hand towels and no face towels. ALSO, no wastebasket. We took our garbage with us. I bring Microban Sanitation Spray or Lysol Spray when we stay at any motel. I sprayed the inside and outside if the pillow cases, took the sheets off and sprayed the mattress covers then the sheets, then the bedspread. The bed didn't have any blankets, only sheets and bedspread. No phone in the room. I used my cell to call the office that the TV wouldn't turn on. The owners brothers were send up to fix it. The remote had batteries in it but no back holding them in. The brothers wiggled cords on the receiver which was HANGING below the TV and finally got it working, although the sound would fluctuate from quiet to loud! The mattress had to be ancient. Not only was it uncomfortable, but it hung over the side of what ever it was laying on so you didn't want to sit too close to the sides. Why did we stay? First, the $140.00 was nonrefundable. We are 72 years old and was in Sacramento to go to UC Medical Center for surgery the next morning. It ended up taking us 6 hours to get to the motel from where we live, and we were both exhausted, not to mention, not use to city traffic especially at night. To begin with I called Hotel Med Park which was close to the hospital, they wanted $250 for a night. I asked if there was anything less expensive close by and he contacted this dump of a motel for us, took our credit card number for the reservation and set it all up for us......... thanks for nothing. Had I been thinking straight, I should have gone on line myself and went through one of the online discount sites. I was just too tired and concerned with the surgery. Trust me, take the time to search yourself.

Just stayed there this past weekend and the place is a total mess. Stayed with 3 other guys in the room and it looked like it wasn't even cleaned. First we had said 2 queen sized beds and we got 2 twins, next it said there was cable and a fridge and a microwave (the TV didn't work and kept saying to contact comcast, and no microwave in the room), went to the AC and it did blow cold but there was holes near it and paint peeling on the walls. Next went into the bathroom and there was only 2 towels for the 4 of us and if you tried to shower there was no bath mat so be careful of slipping, the mirror in the bathroom had a ton of grime and build up on it as if it hadn't been cleaned in a month and to top it off all the doors from the entrance to the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way properly. One thing we got lucky on was there were no bugs on our beds but there were a ton of stains on the blankets/covers. Overall if I could rate a 0 I would but a 1 works and I would recommend to look elsewhere before staying here or pay the little bit of extra for a better hotel. I will be seeing if I am able to contact the BBB and have them see if they can contact this business and hopefully get them to do better before someone at that motel gets really sick or worse.Rooms: DirtySafety: Not very lit up and a lot of homeless around.

I would have said 1.5, but I don't know how to do the half star. This is the description from the site: Room DescriptionFree WiFi, mini-refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, hair dryer, HDTV, bathroom amenities, desk.Have never been to a motel like this before. I should have read the reviews. I am VERY low maintenance, and I very much believe that you get what you pay for, so it was actually ok for me, but the price was a bit much for what all was here. There is NO mini-refrigerator or microwave, no hair dryer. The bathroom amenities were standard small soap and maybe shampoo. There were no towels at all in the room when I arrived. That's fine, I was a bit early so MAYBE it wasn't totally prepared, although there were no other cars or housekeeping around. So, since there is NO PHONE to the front desk, I went down and asked for towels. The man brought me ONE bath towel. That was it. No hand towels, no wash cloth and no extra. One. There was also no light in the bathroom. You can imagine the fun at 3AM in an unfamiliar bathroom with no light. The place looked like they had just cheaply remodeled it and then just opened the room without completing it. Could have been dusted better. The air conditioner worked really well!!!, the bed was fairly comfortable and although I did see one bug on the bed, after googling "bed bugs", I don't think that was it. I didn't have any problems with WiFi, although I didn't sign in with their code, because I was only using my phone, so I can't say if theirs was great or not. Again, I was fine with what it was, even though quite sparse, but I don't usually go high end for hotels/motels anyway. This price was a little steep for the minimalist approach. Motel 6 offers a MUCH better value for minimalism, in my experience, than this place did.

We stay at Wyndham properties very often. This one by far has been the WORST!!!!! After unlocking the door we had to push with force to get the door open. Upon walking in you can smell the stench in the room. The bed covers were absolutely disgusting. Cigarette burns, holes in the comforter, hair. Pulled back the top cover and the sheets were terrible. We had to get our own blankets from the car so we didn’t sleep directly on the bed. After being on the road for 16hrs we just wanted to get sleep. Woke up and saw the floors were dirty, dead roaches, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, they left opened toiletries for us to use. Very dissatisfied to say the least about the condition of the room. The location is perfect since it’s in downtown Sacramento but would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Let me start off by saying how rude and incompetent the indian couple running this place, we had no pillows and no towels, i went down and politely ask for towels and pillows and they were sighing and rudely said they dont have any, ask tomorrow. Okay no problem oh well. But theres no tv the shelf is falling off the wall, shower leaks all over the place. BUT THE GREATEST CONERN OF ALL IS THIS PLACE HAS NO SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE ROOMS OR OUTSIDE. THEY DO NO CARE WHEN I ADDRESSED IT TO THEM. this place cares none about anyones safety they rip people off and act like there tough. I HAVE CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT THIS PLACE, HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS LEARN HOW TO OPERATE PROPERLY!! Ps asking front desk for anything at anytime, they will be fowl and rude.Rooms: Not safe, theres no fire alarm system what so ever.No maintenance what so ever here. Just marble hads working the desk.

The Travelodge by Wyndham Sacramento, 623 16th Street, booked 05/29/23, arrived at 10:00pm: Was greeted by a 4 years old girl, telling me to wait, I waited and a lady came from the back, was very rude. Had my room not paid for, I would have left. There was no shampoo, two white dirty, old towels, and the sheets were not cleaned. I slept on top of the covers, and woke up with bug bites all over my back and legs, the bite marks were in groups. I am so upset.

Location wise, it’s great. When I walked in the room, it smelled clean. Then at night, I started getting bit by bed bugs. I took pictures, I pieced up my stuff, and went to the front desk, and there was no one. I get it. It was late in the middle of the night. But I contacted them, with the issue. They refrained to, we don’t do refunds. It was BED BUGS, it wasn’t that I didn’t like the room, or some high maintenance thing. On top of it, I had to get home and buy bed bug spray to make sure (after washing all of my luggage) that it wouldn’t spread. Don’t stay there if you have an option. The stress I went through 15 days thinking I was goin got bring bed bugs to my place was not worth the low price. DO NOT stay there.

It is crazy to me how rude these people were to my brother. Rude when asking for a towel during a 4 day stay. Cockroaches everywhere. They tried to steal his deposit too.Someone needs to be fired.
