Had the longest wait time I have ever experienced at a rental location. I made an online reservation and the the equipment I reserved was unavailable. I would have went to a different location to get what I wanted but I had to wait so long I did not have the time and ended up renting the more expensive equipment. Will not be renting from here again.

It’s refreshing to find a business that makes customer support utmost in all that they do. Luis R. worked tirelessly to make sure that I was taken care of and had exactly what I needed for my upcoming move. His customer support and fairness was far above any I’ve had with any business in a very long time. I wish everyone took care of their customers like Luis and his team took care of me. Great job, guys!

The strangest experience of my life. If you want to rent plastic boxes from this place, they will require you to provide the phone of number of three people who will answer the phone while you’re in the office they’re renting and “vouch(?)” for you that you’ll return the boxes. Will they let you put down a large deposit? No. Will they sell you the boxes? Also no. Do they demand to have a quick chat with THREE people who have no interest in your uhaul business to effectively post social bail for you? Yes.This does not appear to be corporate level policy and may be associated with the gang neighborhood the store is in, but nonetheless, no, I don’t have THREE people that will take a call from UHaul at 2:16pm on a Monday to vouch for whether or not I’m good for $150 worth plastic boxes. This policy was typed out on an 8x11” piece of computer paper from Microsoft Word, not UHaul company materials.I’m still just in shock here. UHaul won’t take my credit card for a deposit but instead is running some back-office bail bonds/collections agency to ensure their customers bring their boxes back. Maybe include that in the prep email next time.I spoke to the store clerk, store GM, and “Marketing President” Melissa Easley, which is a made-up title for district manager. Each person was more indignant than the last that the policy makes perfect sense. I didn’t expect much from a UHaul in South Sac but this certainly exceeded my worst expectations.

U-Haul definitely stretches these employees pretty thin but with that being said they are prompt helpful with great customer service

A ton of "my manager wants me to" at this location. Not all uhauls are the same.I rented a truck online, declined insurance, showed up on the date - and the employees sat there waiting for me to hit continue on the sig pad forcing me to get the insurance for 50$. When I told them I already declined online and filed out the forms stating so in my reservation, they said "our manager does things differently here, so you can pay it or leave without the truck haha". I left without the truck. What a joke.

Why do companies insist on hiring people who have no customer service skills to be the face of their company? The person who helped me today had zero personality, no smile, no energy, was indifferent, expressionless, very robotic, matter of fact and borderline rude. When I returned I was honestly shocked that I got a thank you albeit it was without any emotion or gratitude. She couldn’t care less. I’ve rented from Uhaul a bunch of times, always a very good experience. First time at this location. I won’t be back here.

So I rented uhual at 5pm they said u can return tomorrow by 6 and because it's 1 hours to next day now they charge me extra 1 day for use for 1 hour and also extra day of 25$ insurance I have to have which other uhual do not ask for proof of insurance while I was in there they also in process of refunding old lady because telling her she can only be in her storage for 2 hours max which no other uhual does this is the worse uhual location to go to any other one is great but not this guys

I asked to receive a reminder email when storage fee was due they said it was no problem. One month later I don’t hear from them until storage fee was already late. Rude and abrasive customer service, and they are always understaffed, and complaining. Will be moving from this location ASAP!!!

My storage days with UHaul are over! It's always been torture to WAIT & WAIT at the UHaul counter for anything. The UHaul site was down for at least 2 days so, unexpectedly, I couldn't pick up my confirmed truck rental from this UHaul location, DURING A TIME CRITICAL move, while I was paying movers $$$. I even booked a UHaul truck a second day when I assumed the UHaul website was back up - since UHaul confirmed my reservation Luckily, i booked the 2nd truck to pick up at Security Public Storage on Power Inn Rd. Antoinette, at SECURITY PUBLIC STORAGE was professional, personable, efficient - and, she made sure she found the best storage discount for me at her location - 2x. Antoinette was able to provide me with a 2nd:) storage unit immediately - AND - professionally helped me find a truck rental alternative. Much different than the UHaul staff rudely telling me, and other potential customers, to basically "go away". If they couldn't "work", with the UHaul site down, why wouldn't they at least provide SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE or, COURTESY? Shooing everyone away... I'm glad I have an alternative now .Thanks Antoinette at Security Public Storage! You saved me more money than you know:).
