Received a scam business letter from mailbox #312 at this UPS Store. The letter came from a company called C.P.S. (Corporate Processing Service), pretending to be an official government agency and demanding $195 for a “Statement of Information” filing — something that normally costs only $20 through the California Secretary of State’s website.
This kind of misleading and predatory mail should not be allowed to use legitimate businesses as their mailing address. I hope this UPS location monitors their mailbox rentals more carefully to prevent scammers from operating through them.
If you’re a business owner and get a letter like this — it’s a scam. Trash it.
