It’s better than a lot of Walgreens in Sacramento and surrounding areas but having to wait almost 30 minutes in the pharmacy drive thru for 4 cars feels absurd. If you wanna chat with the pharmacist about whatever go inside. People use the drive thru for speed reasons and it seems the pharmacists like to spend extreme amounts of time just chatting with people. I want to get in and out not waste a bunch of time just sitting in a line not moving anywhere.
These damn pharmacists never answer the phone. Have waited on hold over 45 minutes each of the last 3 times I called and there was only 1 caller in front of me.

I cannot praise Deborah at the Walgreens pharmacy on Mack Rd enough! She is, without a doubt, the most competent and dedicated pharmacy tech I’ve ever encountered. Navigating prescriptions with dual insurance can be a nightmare, but Deborah is the only one who truly understands the process and ensures everything is handled correctly every single time.
While others seem to take the easy route or avoid the extra work, Deborah consistently goes above and beyond. She doesn’t just process prescriptions—she finds solutions. When issues arise, she doesn’t stop until they’re resolved, ensuring I get the medications I need without unnecessary delays or frustration. Her knowledge, efficiency, and willingness to go the extra mile set her apart in the best way possible.
Deborah isn’t just doing a job—she’s providing an essential service with a level of care and dedication that is rare to find. Walgreens is incredibly lucky to have her, and if anyone deserves recognition, a raise, or even a promotion, it’s her. She embodies the gold standard of customer service, and I sincerely hope Walgreens acknowledges the incredible value she brings to their team.
Thank you, Deborah, for everything you do!

This version makes a compelling case for her exceptional service and the recognition she deserves. Let me know if you’d like any refinements!

I just had another bad experience at Walgreen's. I'm a disabled 77 year old person. I entered Walgreen's to find no shopping carts in the storage location. I quickly looked about for a cart because there were none outside. All of the available carts were being stored on the opposite side of the room in front of the last checkout register. Which meant I had to walk about another 75 feet to get a cart and then back 75 feet in order to shop. It was difficult to get the cart due to the lines of customers. I only did a portion of my shopping because my breathing had become bad. Upon checking out, the clerk stated the carts weren't to go outside. Instead of offering a carryout, he informed me I could make two trips to get my purchase to the car. I had purchased three (3) 12 packs of canned drinks. What has happened to the simple courtesy we used to get from businesses? Walgreen's doesn't allow carts outside now because the homeless continue to steal them, and I understand and appreciate the carts being in the store. I do not appreciate having to walk way out of my way and back again as a convenience to the clerk. He stated it was easier for him to place the carts there when shoppers were finished with the carts than to walk all the way around the checkout stations to put them in the cart storage area.

Have an appointment for a shot. Arrived 15 mins early and was told to take a seat because they can't check me in until 5 mins before my appointment. When I go back to the counter 5 mins before my appointment, they proceed to take 20 mins to check me in and get my shot.

Walgreens offers a convenient shopping experience with a wide range of products. Their pharmacy services are efficient, and the staff is helpful. However, prices can be higher compared to other stores. Overall, a solid choice for quick needs.

Employees at this location needs some phone communication skills. Upper management should look into it.
