This is an update for my last review, my friend that was with me that witnessed this happen was still shopping after I made my complaint about how we were mistreated. As he was in line he was approached by management who was looking for me to apologize and find out what actually happened because this worker Tanger was telling management that I grabbed her arm and ripped the key out of her hand when infact once they look at cameras they will see all that happened was I put my hands on key while still in the ignition of electrical cart and her finger tip touched mine and she made a huge thing how I put my hands on her, when she was just trying to cause a seen to get me in trouble. Plus I had my handicap mom with me who was having an diabetic emotional episode and this escalation made me have to get my mom out of store, In car and calmed down before going back in to make my complaint. I will never go back to this store and will tell my story to everyone this family owned store is not a good family no more

I usually order cakes from Safeway since they have the best quality however after repeated failure from my last cake order and even my own family's experiences I decided to try winco and I can say they followed every instruction per my order and I'm happy they did so. However my only issue was with the texture of the cake it wasn't soft or moist like as it should be but it was liked by all guests so I will order again next year or even for my anniversary this upcoming October.

Wow, I can't believe how much money I've been throwing away at other grocers around town. Since grocery prices have skyrocketed in the past few years it was a relief to see shelf items such a pasta, pasta sauce, canned goods, and vegetables at reasonable prices. We stocked up on canned favorites, artichokes, brussels sprouts, salads, and fruits. I didn't bother checking out the meat selection since we were already stocked at home but my husband did pick up a tri-tip at a good price. I appreciate the prices, organization and stock of items at WinCo. We also picked up a take and bake pizza flat bread which turned out to be delicious. While I've heard of the benefits of shopping at WinCo before, we just never made the trek over since its farther from home. The only reason we stumbled in this time was because we were in the area for a birthday. The question that remains is if the cost of gas to drive over to WinCo outweighs the extra cost and convenience of staying local. I'm sure if we are in the area or need to stock up we'll make the drive over to WinCo however for weekly grocery shopping we'll likely stay local. Lastly, as mentioned in other reviews, Winco is cash/debit card only so be prepared to front the money!

Don't sleep on these essential workers. They're out there in this ruthless holiday season getting work done!I didn't pay close enough attention to name tags but on 11/22 at around 8pm, I think Zach was near the produce. He was pushing a dolly or cart of boxes and stopped to wipe up a spill. Another person near the checkout area also wiped up a spill amid all of the people walking all over it. I think Svitlana helped me at the register and she was also kind and patient. Lastly, on my way out, I overheard a guy talking to another guy about corralling all the carts in from outside. Possibly the best work ethic I've seen at a grocery store. Can't take them for granted. Thanks!

Best affordable grocery store with variety I've shopped at. They don't have WinCo's in the Central Coast, Ca so I hadn't any idea these existed. My boss told me about it when I told her all there is around my residence is BelAir and all of the produce out here is expensive in comparison to where I'm from. I have only visited two stores, and of the two, the one in Folsom is larger and has a greater selection/variety.. but both are good. Produce selection is great and so are the prices! Highly recommend.

Perfect place to grocery shop right after the movies. Just remember they don't take credit cards!

I've always had pretty good service from cashiers but the customer service representative always has a bad attitude and is outwardly rude. They told me my husband and I can't buy separate money orders because they have a $999 limit per person or group of persons but couldn't define what a group of persons was just had bad attitudes and said it was against policy.

Employee-owned, WinCo is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. It is a no frills, bag-yer-own, recession- friendly, takes cash/debit payments only, has the loudest shopping carts ever, and you can only take out $40 max for cash out type of place. Despite all that, I can count on their prices being some of the lowest. Aaaannnnnd they have the best bulk-food section I've come across in the area. Some of my favorites: * Fresh ground almond butter (located in the bulk foods section) * Bulk spices/herbs * Bulk loose-leaf tea * Breakfast cereals - Prices fluctuate like the stock market; if you find your cereal and it's on sale, be sure to stock up * Carnitas meat - fresh and not too expensive * Grass-fed ground beef * Soy milk - cheapest prices I've found The wine selection is not super fancy but they do carry everyday staples like Bogle, Meiomi, Josh, as well as 19 Crimes (good value btw). Since WinCo is in the Country Club Plaza mall, it is easy to stock up on bulk food snacks before going into the movie theatre that is also located here. (Just don't tell anyone I let you in on this tip.)

I like this store just would be nice if they opened on time. Photo taken at 6:04 am doors opened at 6:08 am then I was finally able to enter. If you come to this store take your time they don't open on time.

In a nutshell, the bulk herbs, spices, legumes and grains section make a visit to Winco a necessity every so often. I braved the midday crowds intent on getting several dried herbs, vegetables and spices, including dill, dry chopped onion and sage. I only need small amounts, so this is a really cost-effective solution. Folks shopping here seem more polite compared to some other stores (ahem, costco) and the staff are helpful and professional. In spite of it being busy, I got through fairly quickly with my small shopping list.

I just left Winco on Watt Ave where I spend thousands of dollars at. After working a 13 hour day, still in work uniform, I raced to the store to get cereal for the kids for breakfast. I arrived at 11:52pm. TANYA, whom would not give me her last name, had three people in line, had not locked the front doors and told me I could not run and grab cereal as they were closed!! Not only did she refuse service, she was extremely rude. I practically begged her to let me grab some cereal! I spend close to 1000 00 a month at this store and unless management handles this situation, I will NEVER return!! I am so upset I'm crying!!

I was excited when WinCo opened in the Arden area in 2016. I love the WinCo location on Walerga Road; it's just a far drive. It's located at the Country Club Plaza, in place of where Nordstrom's used to be. This location is pretty busy, but, I am usually able to get in and out when I shop here. It's a nice sized store to find everything I need, at lower prices. When it first opened, it was 24 hours. Then it started to close at midight in 2018. Which made me so sad, I miss my late night WinCo runs. LOL. This location is on the corner of Watt Ave and Butano in the Arden area.

Prices are the best around. Whether it's groceries or their fried chicken. I wouldn't recommend non food items though. You can get that elsewhere.

All but 2 female employees were horsing around, unmasked, and joyriding a forklift they clearly weren't trained to operate. The 2 female employees were wearing a mask and seemed to be the only ones actually working. They looked defeated and miserable being surrounded by co-workers who were just screwing around and socializing. There is a huge management issue at this place and it fosters a toxic work environment with disregard for public health. Absolutely disappointed, the other locations I've been to ran a tight ship. I dont know if they arent paying managers enough, but they clearly don't have a competent one overseeing the location off Watt.
