Disappointed at how the little care they showed over finding worms in the fish I bought earlier that day!! Management show no remorse or even care to make me feel better or at ease.. the department manager said it's normal and sent me home no is not normal to find parasites in your fish I sure wouldn't be controuble feeding that to my kids !!

I went into the store to order a cake and was told I had to order it online and then call the store with the order number to tell them what inscription I wanted on the cake. This was after her originally saying they don't do customizations despite the sign she was standing next to that said to ask them about it. So I went home. I ordered the cake. I called. When I called and told them what I wanted on the cake (the cake is for a bachelorette party and a the inscription I wanted was definitely PG-13 but it wouldn't be the first one I purchased from this whole foods bakery) but was told they couldn't do that. I didn't argue I just said I wanted to cancel my order and was hung up on. I then had to call back, speak to a manager, and explain the situation. They asked if I had ordered it in the store or on line... I guess you can order it in store. I then had to be transferred back to the bakery to cancel the order. The bakery didn't apologize or try to give a feeble excuse of getting disconnected. I think the bakery department might need some new faces, or a serious overhaul in their training procedures and management at the very least. The bad customer service and wrong information given, along with the all the unnecessary steps customers have to take is unacceptable.

Whole Foods is getting so sad and depressing! This store is going down hill! First management at this store closes the deli so you can no longer get their delicious sandwiches. Somehow every other grocery store has deli sandwiches, but management thinks this was a good idea? They also don't make burritos anymore either. Then they won't fix the bread machine-it's been "broken" for over 6 months so I have not been able to get the homemade crostini's we used to buy regularly. Then I was told management "won't fix the refrigerator" and so smoothies are no longer available. The smoothies were a wonderfully niche feature for this store. They would be for any grocery store! When I asked my kids to come with me to the grocery store, they used to beg me to go to WF instead of another grocery store so they could get a smoothie while we shopped. We used to order a smoothie at least once a week. As if the above mentioned isn't frustrating enough, this one takes the cake. Literally! I went to order a cake for my daughter's birthday. I can no longer go in and have personalized service with my request. I was told I have to go online to place the order, but then you aren't able to customize the order. So you have to order online, but then you STILL have to go into the store and ask them to customize the cake. I had wanted to add a happy birthday, my daughter's name and age and then had to deal with the hassle of them recalculating the cost and whether or not someone would be able to customize the cake because only a few people knew how to write on the cake. Nightmare!! If we didn't love the Chantilly cake so much, I would have thrown up my hands and gone somewhere else. I shop here at least 3x a week and I'm about ready to write into the corporate office or get a petition going. Yes, I care this much about my neighborhood WF! Why is the Arden branch lacking these features compared to other WF markets?! Stop cutting corners, management! I was told that Marty and Anthony are the ones approving these decisions and many of the employees aren't happy about it either. What's it going to take to bring these services back to the Arden location?!

Paolau on the sandwiches like a chef in disguise. And it looks magical! LOCATION & DECOR: Typical whole foods market in Sacramento with green light beige and wood decor. Industrial interior with a health conscious flare. Private parking lot adjacent to a shirt parking lot with other businesses. Plenty of parking including handicap spaces. 30 minutes spots right in front of the store. FOOD & DRINK: The grocery store and the food market so they really have everything you're looking for and some of the healthiest options of those things as well. An excellent deli and cheese and bakery department. Fresh fruit and produce available. PRICE: $$-$$$ -Build your own sandwich $12 -Pre-sliced fruit $3-$4 SWAG/AMENITIES: -Deli for custom sandwich orders -Hot food to order -Bakery -Amazon return -self checkout -customer restrooms STAFF & EXPERIENCE: I came here to pick up a sandwich for lunch and it was my first time. I had to fill out my sandwich order on a sheet of paper with a pencil that had every option on there. Pretty self-explanatory. Don't miss the toasted option in the top right corner. It's easy to miss because it isn't in the boxes like the others. The person who ended up making my sandwich was so freaking cool and personable and down to earth. Paolau was on my sandwich like a chef in disguise. She gave me great recommendations when I couldn't decide what I wanted. She didn't hold back on the fixings so extra anything wasn't necessary. I think she was even impressed with the sandwich she made being that she showed her coworker. Haha. It looked magical and was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely come back here and whoever makes my sandwich have better live up to Paolou's skills or I'll just have to find out when she works and only come then. Also, somebody give her a raise ASAP!

The deli bread is all enriched flour which is badThe cashew butter is in petroleum based plastic jars for 11$ it’s not even raw it’s roastedEven walmart has raw cashew butter in glass jars at a better cost even.I’m not impressed. It’s supposed to be a better food environment and it’s just lipstick on a fraud

Did Willy Wonka create this place?Oooh, my gosh, as soon as you walk in the door, you are hit with all the smells of fresh foods from the kitchen area and bakery, and the food is delicious. The kitchen area alone takes up about 1/5 to 1/4 of the store. Then there is the rest of the store. Every food variation you can imagine seems to be available, have a food allergy, they have groceries to fit your diet, are you a vegetarian or vegan, they have the food, gluten free items, they have it. Anything your heart can imagine, you just might find it at Whole Foods, but bring your pocket book. It ain't cheap. My wife and I got food at the kitchen from the self-service area, we got meatloaf, mashed potatoes, a garden salad, a strawberry cake dessert and a couple bubbly drinks and we spent about $70. We did get enough for about 4 people even though it was just the 2 of us, but it was like going to a restaurant without the tip, but mmm mmm it was yummy like a home cooked meal, something grandma would make. ?
