Pestoni Family is truly a wonderful stop for any Napa Valley visit and a “hidden gem” soon to be less hidden. The Pestoni family are long-time residents of Napa Valley and have created a space for community and friends to enjoy great wine, take in the natural beauty of the valley, and create a casual, intimate space for all to enjoy. The winery is family-friendly and well-behaved pet friendly. While reservations are encouraged, walk-ins are welcome. There is a large outdoor/event space with Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and umbrellas. Tasting prices, even on weekends, are cheaper than many other large wineries. Staff is friendly and informative. Because it is family run, they don’t staff large amounts of hosts, so service slow slightly during busy times, but it’s truly a winery to stay and enjoy instead of rushing to your next tasting.

After talking to them last year, this was on my top 5 list of wineries to go to; it sounded very chill and laid back, definitely a social place. Going there today solidified it. The grounds are open and perfect for large gatherings. Staff is super friendly; wines are tasty.Bring your own food, and a few friends, and you'll have an amazing time.

Agree with those who said this is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon this spot because we were looking for a dog-friendly winery and our original pick was way too crowded. This was about five minutes away, tucked away from the road (and very dog-friendly!). We got two bottles of wine and enjoyed the calm, quiet lawn with lots of shaded seating areas. There were a bunch of other people there, but everyone had space and the overall atmosphere was very relaxed. Staff was friendly. I almost didn’t write a review so that we could keep this as a hidden gem but want to support their business! Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxed place to sit for a while and enjoy company and wine.

Incredible experience! This is a hidden gem of Napa Valley. The outdoor space offers lots of tables and hang out areas with activities for everyone. The grounds are gorgeous and with a little exploring you’ll find some incredible old trees. The wine tasting makes for a great afternoon experience and the staff goes above and beyond to be sure you enjoy your time.

The winery is beautiful! We went on a slow day and had great service and even better wine! Highly recommend! They're kid friendly so that was a plus, since we had our son with us.

Such a pretty and relaxing atmosphere. Wines were great and different options then other wineries. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back!!

Wines were good/ok, but employees were really NOT engaging. This winery really made me realize if the wine is ok a good host can make an okay/good wine so much better. They spent almost of our entire tasting in the back office. Another patron had to get up off the couch a number of times to ask for their next tasting..

Awesome winery. Great wine selection. One of the few Sangiovese of quality. Fun picnic area with corn hole. Gardens are beautiful and staff is very knowledgeable without being pretentious. Go!

Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley is Pestoni Family Estate Winery, formerly known as Rutherford Grove Winery. In the 1990s Bob Pestoni established Rutherford Grove Winery, carrying on a family tradition of winemaking dating back to his grandfather, Albino Pestoni, who founded a winery on Howell Mountain in 1892. To celebrate the family's 125th anniversary of winemaking in Napa Valley, the winery was renamed Pestoni Family Estate Winery. This family owned and operated winery is currently overseen by winemaker Andy Pestoni, a 4th generation family member. The winery offers a leisurely wine tasting experience with its extensive picnic grounds and a covered outdoor patio surrounded by their vineyards. Dog friendly as well!

Beautiful beautiful property and great wine. The tasting is a bit expensive though (50$) which can be offset if you buy 3 bottles or sign up for the club membership. The views are spectacular

Staff didn’t serve us or offer any information about the wines we were tasting. Thankfully, our driver took the lead and filled in the gaps for us. Beautiful space to have lunch but otherwise not impressive.

Beautiful place and great smooth red wine. Sampled the Cabernet, Merlot, Petite Sirah and Sangiovese. Met Nick Pestoni, he is very friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommended.

Pestoni Family Estate Winery is a beautiful local. Truly! And color me impressed with the crowds that made their way here! The wine, however, left me flat.
